During last year's Translesbigayapalooza, the guest post on bisexuality by blogging buddy Adam of Neko Random was the most popular post of the whole month!
So YAY, this year Adam is back again! He's got some pointed and pithy answers to all those annoying but common questions that every Bi person gets asked! Here's his post!
Things You Should Never Ask a Bi Person
Can you pick a side?
(Okay, how about both?)
Aren't you gay?
(Still bi...)
Are you sure it isn't a phase?
(Yes, I'm sure)
Are you a cheater?
(Being attracted to both genders
has no effect on fidelity.
Straight people cheat all the time.)
So you're 50/50?
(Even 5/95 is still bi, and
I'm definitely not 50/50.
Takes way more for a guy
to be hot than a woman.)
Does that mean you're attracted to me?
(You probably wish, so you could
add one to a very short list)
You must have lots of threesomes, huh?
(Sir, this is a Wendy's)
Oops sorry, Adam, this is the closest I could find to a Wendy's meme, LOL!
And hey, thanks for helping me out again with Translesbigayapalooza! You've crossed off a lot of entries on your Bisexual Bingo card!
You know you don't have to cross off EVERY square in a Bingo card to win, right? (But aren't all Bi people just a subset of Pan?)
ReplyDeleteNot exactly. I'm not really into transmen. I think of pan also being more of the 50 50 genderblind kinda thing
Deletei like the purple analogy.
ReplyDeleteI think not only did he ever helpful Adams answers help things out but so did the meme about putting red and blue together to make purple that couldn't explain it any better in layman's terms. And I always enjoy Adams visits. I have a very good friend well the lumbersexual and he considers himself by. But I think people automatically just assume he likes men more which is not always the case. You like and you're attracted to, who you like and you're attracted to. If that person pushes your buttons they push your buttons.
ReplyDeleteVery true
Delete"Adam and Eve not Adam or Eve" says all one needs to know.
ReplyDeleteSounds a bit 😈
Delete@ Old Lurker -- I see you're stirring the pot, you little dickens, but since this is Adam's post, I'll defer to him answering this query later!
ReplyDeleteAdam and Eve speaks volumes!
ReplyDeleteStill cackling @ Bisexual Taco Bell counter!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've had relationships with bisexual men. It has never bothered me that they are Bi. And the sex was hot. So there's that.
XOXO
The Adam AND Eve ref is great!
ReplyDeleteI've lived the last 40+ years saying “I'm a gay man” after having a number of relationships with women. If I were to start all over again and come out now, I'd say I'm bi. As for me, it takes a lot more for a woman to be hot than a man. Much gratitude to Adam for sharing the enlightenment... and snark! I love the retake on Adam AND Eve.
ReplyDeleteYay for the Bi Folk! Life is a smorgasbord!
ReplyDeleteQuite a spread sheet of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to share the "Adam and Eve" meme with some of my family. I'm grinning just thinking about it. 😁
ReplyDeleteWe will not be divided into subsets. These labels are stupid. Is that all you people think about? It has been a disaster. We better get our shit together and help each other. This is us. It is not a contest.
ReplyDeleteWe will not be divided. Before it became a fad, we thought we were just people.
ReplyDeleteWe had different divisions. Children, Adults, and Old People.
We have a whole different way. Haha, I guess you could say we were the original bisexuality!
Anyway, just between you and me, why do they think about sex so much? It seems like an obsession.
Adam AND Eve, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou made it so hilarious! Funny post at the end of my long day
ReplyDeleteAs long as we all support each other. The anti-LGBTQ forces don't care about our petty little disagreements over what's authentic or not. They have enough hate to spread around.
ReplyDeleteFabulous post. Love the Adam and Eve meme. Have a great day today.
ReplyDeleteAren't we all at least a little bit bi?!
ReplyDeleteI've always found women to be much more attractive than men. Except my current beau. Otherwise, my eyes wandered an awful lot.
More pride!
Adam always comes up with great stuff!
ReplyDeleteFreud thought we were all innately bisexual I don't remember how he cam to that conclusion
ReplyDeleteFellow bi reporting for duty! I was excited to see a part 2. Yes, from my understanding pan is a subset of bi. However it should be noted that very early on in the movement bi was defined as attraction to people both like the gender we were born as and unlike the gender we were born as. I like this definition because it has historical precedent and it centers homosexuality. I am bi and have been attracted to trans/ non-binary people. That's not true for every bi person of course, but it's why Bi is the umbrella term.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Adam! I admired him for speaking out in your post last year, and I enjoyed his post this year!
