The brooms in my apartment definitely could use a little more flying around. Actually, moving to Asia was a broom revelation. Here there are little, lightweight ones that clip onto a long-handled dustpan. Nothing could be better or easier. Those long, awkward, heavy Western models are the pits, kind of like those huge gas-guzzling cars a few decades ago. In other places you can get these lightweight brooms in Asian stores--you will never look back. --Jim
That first witch should get the leak in her roof fixed. She doesn't want mold.
I thought driving around with an RV on chicken legs was bad, but I can only imagine how horrendous air travel on brooms must be for the environment. Imagine the carbon emissions!
Ah, you cut out my favorite part, where the cartoon Darrin kisses the cartoon Samantha on the cheek, she disappears, a cat jumps into Darrin's arms, the cat turns back to Samantha, only to be engulfed in smoke (and some additional on-screen credits) by whatever's burning on the stove.
A friend of ours was talking about her mother falling off the roof last Halloween, and her husbands comment was, "she must have overshot the landing". (She was cleaning the gutters.)
Do you know "fracture fairy tales'? my favorite is hansel and gretel, where Gretel teaches the witch how to ride a broom. When the witch wonders how she would know Gretel says come now there' a bit of the witch in all us girls.
i love that sanderson shed.
ReplyDeleteThe flying school with the Hoover!!!! Thanks heavens it's an upright and not a canister model.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which Sanderson sister rides the Electrolux. I wonder if they can teach me how to fly on a Dyson. Landing on the roller ball would be fun.
