It's been a couple of years since I gave an update on my superhero action figures collection. And you know what? This Christmas it just expanded again!
Remember a couple of months ago when I wrote a post about Rocket Raccoon and the Winter Soldier?
Well, my sister read that post too.
Ordinarily, my Winter Soldier action figure just hangs out with his best bud Captain America --
Now, however, the Soldier has his very own sidekick too --
But wait! There's more!
My sister also gave me a larger, super-duper deluxe Rocket Raccoon with special action capabilities! Look what happens when I squeeze his legs together -- he raises his blaster, his ears flatten, his eyebrows frown downwards and his mouth opens in a snarl --
Yowza! The box says this action figure is for ages 4 and up, so good thing I'm in that demographic! And as I always say, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood!"
Thanks, sis -- I love them both!
These are so cool. But that new Rocket Racoon rocks! You have a wonderful sister.
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously a cool addition to your collection.
ReplyDeleteNever too old to have fun.
ReplyDeleterocket raccoon is a real badass!
ReplyDeleteI want to play, I mean work, with that raccoon. I'm over 4, so it's okay.
ReplyDeleteWEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! That's cool! I might now want a Captain America figure. Are the clothes removeable??? Asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was all excited when a fellow blogger sent me a Poison Ivy action figure.
Rocket Racoon looks peeved that someone is squeezing his legs together.
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, That Raccoon action figure has an odd operating mechanism that does not seem quite P.C. They should have a female version that when squeezed so inappropriately similarly grimaces and frowns but instead of raising a weapon files a lawsuit. --Jim
ReplyDeleteHa - that raccoon action figure is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteLooking back I see I've missed a few posts...Santas, Vikings, cookies, lost reindeer...it's been busy! Hope your Holiday was fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat's one righteous racoon!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of the child living within you my friend!
ReplyDeleteFortunate are those who can manage so far 🤗
Marvellous action figures but raccoon stole the show 😍
Your sister knows you so well! How lucky you are to have each other. The Rocket Raccoon 'action figures' are the height of cool! The bigger one is definitely intimidating.
ReplyDeleteGreat presents!
ReplyDelete@ Parnassus (Jim) -- Hahahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteYup!! Better late than never..Rocket Raccoon is a perfect addition..Super Duper Deluxe !! WOW!!
ReplyDeleteBuckys eyes reminds me of Batman's Robin
ReplyDeleteI used to collect these action figures when I was younger. I even enjoyed photographing them as flat lays
ReplyDeleteSo very cool indeed.
ReplyDeleteI love rocket and the last guardians of the galaxy just made me cry
Yup in a sook lol
Your sister always seems to know exactly which toys, uh, action figures you want -- just like Santa Claus! It must be nice to have such a wonderful, awesome sister!
ReplyDeleteI love action figures, but more like GI Joes than superheroes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful action figures. Well done, your sister.
ReplyDeleteHaving grandkids allowed me to buy and play with toys.
ReplyDeleteOH NOOOOO! You opened the box!!! OH NOOOOOOO!!!!
ReplyDelete@ Mike -- Yeah, I'm not the kind of collector who keeps things pristine in their box, hoping to increase any future appreciation in value they may achieve. I collect my favourite characters just for the love of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift from your Sis ~ Lucky you !!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy ~
You have some great action figures! I got some ornaments that should be able to hang out with some of my action figures. They even talk.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I know several children of all ages who would love that toy.
ReplyDeleteOh fuck them. I know several people who would club poor Rocky on the head, just to make one of those Daniel Boone Caps. I also move in a strange Mexican world, where they say Mapache and it is also an animal that we can eat. Me personally, I don't have the heart to do it. They are not food. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI love rocket raccoon :-)
ReplyDeleteI remember vividly being in grade school the substitute teacher asked you plays with dolls. All the girls raised their hand - as did I. All looked at me including the teacher. I explained I have GI Joes. The boys rose in a howl of scorched cats. GI Joes are NOT DOLLS THEY ARE ACTION FIGURES!!. Oh what a scene.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Rocket!
