To celebrate the Winter Solstice, Yule and
Christmas, this month's full moon altar
features Santa's multi-talented reindeer!
While they may not be
representatives of the Divine Feminine,
they ARE magickal creatures,
no doubt about that!
I bought these reindeer
at a big Christmas craft sale
very shortly after I moved
to Edmonton 25 years ago.
They are brushed steel,
made by an artisan from
British Columbia.
Between holidays, they live

I don't remember seeing your reindeer before. I'd be tempted to keep them out year-round. Wonderful! (And they sure are musically gifted. I'm listening to them play as I type.)
ReplyDeleteKool reindeer. They deserve to live “out of the box” all year!
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, I'll bet those reindeer are not as fond of that Christmas box as you are. It is rather like the the TLC (Tiny Loser Chamber) on Battle for Dream Island.

Love the reindeer and the music is great.
ReplyDeleteAdd a drummer and the music matches the musicians.
ReplyDelete@ Travel -- That's ME drumming in the background!
ReplyDeleteNot sure my comment landed -- admiring the reindeer. I hope they'll show up again.
ReplyDeleteThese are cool, Debra. I would keep them out all year.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! I CAN imagine them playing that song.
ReplyDeleteThe coolest full moon alter ever!!
ReplyDeleteI love this altar!
ReplyDeleteOhhh these are truly beautiful. I love how you make your alters. Have a great day today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the music! Definitely part of my playlist now! I'm tempted to agree on leaving the altar up all year, but that might lessen the delicious joy of anticipation when getting out The Christmas Box!!
ReplyDeleteApparently only female reindeer keep their antlers during the winter, so there may be a tenuous connection to the feminine, if not the divine feminine.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, it's a very cool altar! Quite the vibe!
Cheers!
@ e -- You make an excellent point! Female reindeer jazz trio!
ReplyDeleteI love that they are jammin'out!
ReplyDeleteSome of our Christmas boxes haven't been opened in YEARS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool festive display! Love the silver reindeer, white bottlebrush trees and tiny faerie lights -- such a nice alternative to a Xmas tree (and a whole lot less work as a bonus, LOL)... This is my FAVOURITE of all the Full Moon Altars you've featured!
ReplyDeleteTHose reindeer are so cool!
ReplyDeleteOh but they are. All the reindeer are female as the males lose their antlers during winter.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful alter as usual
That art installation is incredible!
ReplyDeleteThey are a lot of fun and make the perfect Christmas alter.
ReplyDeleteNice 🦌
ReplyDeleteLove the reindeer and the Christmas box even more.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Debra!
XOXO

The reindeer definitely shouldn't live in a box. They are too cool.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
They are so beautiful, I would leave them on display all year.
ReplyDeleteLove the Jazz Reindeer. Wayfair has a Bee door knocker that made me think of you.
ReplyDelete@ Barbara -- Cool! I'll go check it out on their website, although I can't put any door knocker on my front door here.
ReplyDeleteI love the reindeer. Nice instrumental version of a classic, but you can't beat Brenda Lee's version!
ReplyDeleteI too adore the reindeer !
ReplyDeleteKokopelli Shades would be a great name for this band. I like them.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your musical selection. Good Sax.
ReplyDeleteBig thanks for uplifting music dear Debra!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved it❤
The reindeer are majestic wow.
You are amazing and so is your collection
Love the reindeer..Keepers for sure!!
ReplyDeleteOnly female reindeer have horns in the winter. Who knew? All of Santa's reindeer are girls. On Jane, on Margaret, on Betty....
ReplyDeleteThe Ol'Buzzard
Actually, Debra, male reindeers lose their antlers in winter, so these ARE representatives of the Divine Feminine! Sending you Happy Yule wishes and blessings for a FABULOUS New Year!
