  3. Love them, Queen-Agers - I many borrow that one.

  4. I look forward to that time in history when equality in the world is a given…how many hundreds of years away? It feels like we are going backwards.

  6. Thomas Aquinas is always a risky gambit. Maybe he should have tried St Augustine.

  7. Since Aquinas believed in early term abortion, even specifying weeks, it's showing ignorance to try to bring him into an anti abortion argument.

I think we should be honoring women 365 days a year, 366 in a leap year. To hell with one grudging day.

  10. Thomas Aquinas?
He dared try Thomas Aquinas? It took her too long to dump him.

    XOXO

🥳 I am celebrating International Women's Day and, on November 19, I will celebrate International Men's Day because I still have hope that someday we can just have International Human's Day...every day! I commented the following on a different blog this morning for a different reason, but maybe it fits here, too:
😕 Sigh...whenever discussions of gender come up, I always recommend to people that they watch the wonderful section of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" that explains androgyny. I really believe that if people understood at an early age that everybody is female and male, then all the stupidity and gnashing of teeth and pointing fingers and blaming and shaming wouldn't be happening. I want people to celebrate both sides of themselves and then be whatever else is best for them! It is fear and suppression of one part of people when they are young that causes a lot of unhealthy behaviors later! My husband and I were very attracted to each other's fullness of human qualities and, after more than 30 years, we still find that sexy! Okay, I'm gonna go put away my rose-colored glasses for now, but I still have hope in some simple answers!! 🤩

  16. The biggest barrier to womens equailty. Is women.
Especial the younger generations who act like being a feminist is something stupid
Build each other up, back your sisters and together we can win this battle once and for all

  18. Knowledge is power. I feel a little awkward because I am an old man, but- Nevertheless, She Persisted. This is called Women's History Month. I never dreamed we would have to be doing this. I just took it for granted. I feel split, because i live in a world with girls and women, boys and men. I didn't get the instructions on how to do this, so I have to make it up as I go along.
so, the whole thing is a big question and Happy Women's History Month I hope to learn more.

  19. Enjoyed the story about the woman arguing with her boyfriend. Glad she dumped him.

  20. Happy belated International Women Day.

  21. One Day only? Everyday is international woman's day. I learned this through experience. Maybe it is because I like men, so I looked at the world without the marriage and sex filter.
many men say they don't understand women, that may be so.
Also many women say they don't the same.

This is a problem. Some people are still being like taliban, or underestimating our sisters and aunties and mothers.

Most of you fanatics are straight, right? So what is the problem?
Or did she not live up to your expectations?

  22. LOL at the Twitter thread. Good for her! May she live her best life free of that toad.

  23. Happy International Women's Day, fabulous woman.
May the celebrations continue through lifetimes of real, needed change.

  24. It's getting better??? Love the queenager!!

  25. I wish I had more hope for the women of this world.
I wish they were better united again the long time crap.
I don't see much progress here - nay I see regression.

  26. A lot of human rights people forget about the plate of women in Muslim countries. The best majority of the oppression of women and everybody else in the world is orchestrated by theocracies. Let’s not forget that. With each incarnation the religion of the god of Abraham becomes more and more evil.

  27. Married two strong women, raised three strong daughters (well, OK, their mother did mostly) Anyhow I feel good about it all.

  28. I too have screamed ‘Thomas fucking Aquinas?’; probably different context.

  29. Christ, its 2024 and we are still pushing this boulder uphill. Or, as the sign said that some girls dressed as suffragettes carried "Same Shit, Different Centry". I watched "The Glorias" starring Julianne Moore. She played the part of Gloria Steinem, one of the leaders of the Second Wave of Feminism in the 70's. Seeing how it was then, how much progress was made, how hard it was to make it, then compare it to how we seem to be going backward on it all just depresses me.

  30. Great post but I love Queen agers. I simply can't believe we are fighting this battle again.

  31. These are all chef's kiss perfect.
It is enraging that we are still fighting these battles. When I taught Women's Self Defense we finished the program with a call and response segment and said things like, 'I am strong!' 'I have the right to defend myself!' and my contribution: 'I am destroying the patriarchy!"
May the Goddess make it so!

  32. I think it is time to drop the Abrahamic religions, especially Christianity and Islam. They were a good idea at the time, but they don't serve anymore. Faith is a living thing.

  33. i believe i left comment last day but can't see here

i agree to all you pointed out here so nicely Debra ,humor is a polite way indeed

sadly regarding woman's right i hardly see any big difference between olden time and modern one and i keep wonder when times will come when woman will be treated only like a human and not on term of gender
her decision must be personal for sure

  34. I felt like I should be inspired by these memes, but I'm depressed because we're going backwards. Contraception will be next. Women have to stand up for each other, Debra!

  35. The antifeminists are men I'll have no idea how they ever got laid
