Charcuterie chalets are a great idea as some folks aren't crazy about sweets. I would add Cheez-its to the roofs, as there is nothing makes for a happy holiday like Cheez-its.
We "finished decorating the house" (see photo above) and we will make donations to charity rather than BUY gifts and I'm NOT MAKING COOKIES this year, no matter who begs! Bah Humbug!
I should send my sister the charcuterie house. There is a holiday movie coming out about a kid who sends a letter to satan by accident (my kind of kid, my spelling stinks.)
Those gingerbread houses made of a charcuterie board are so fun! We actually did this last year for a holiday party. We left them up the next day when our carpet cleaners came and because we left it out overnight ( we were too tired to throw it away and a little tipsy I will add) he thought we had left it out all Christmas season long like a normal gingerbread house! ha! we assured him it was just for a party. Imagine how bad that would smell if we just left it out for weeks!
Hello Debra, These are great, especially the last two. --Jim

ReplyDeleteCharcuterie chalets…someone has a great imagination.
ReplyDelete...who the hell came up the word charcuterie? Oh by the way, did your car start without a block heater???
ReplyDelete@ Tom -- Yes, it did, thank the Baby Jesus. This morning I'm making an appointment at my car repair place to get a new block heater plug attached.
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of christmas either, but you made me laugh this morning.

ReplyDelete😱🎅🦌 Yikes on how real that first one is now! There is no war on Christmas...CHRISTMAS. IS. WAR!! 🤬💣💥
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with "fuck it" !!
ReplyDeleteLove the Charcuterie Chalets and the Italian Gingerbread House!
ReplyDeleteFunny about the last one: I have a story in mind that uses the same premise.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to work on my Christmas spirit as well..Fun post…Lots of laughs..Thanks
ReplyDeleteThe Satan cartoon is so hilarious lol
ReplyDeleteI do wonder how many children miss spell Santa lol
ReplyDeleteHahahaha
ReplyDeleteOh, the Santa/Satan mistakes are hilarious. I also love that 'fuck it' meme. That's basically me.
XOXO
The dive bar brings back some fond memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm not feeling very f*****g festive this year either, although the Xmas tree plungers did make me LOL! A great metaphor for our current reality.
ReplyDeleteAs a lover of Italian food, I'll move into that gingerbread house!
ReplyDeleteYes, palpable lack of Christmas spirit here.
ReplyDeleteI want the gingerbread dive bar. I know the floor would be appropriately sticky.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The gingerbread dive bar kit it a hoot!
ReplyDeleteThe gingerbread dive bar is the best. That Italian’s gingerbread house is surprisingly unappealing given how much I like the ingredients.
ReplyDeletei so enjoyed these funnies dear Debra :)))
ReplyDeletethanks for smiles
best wishes and lots of love
The Gingerbread Dive-Bar would be soooo funny to make and have displayed at the house!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas spirit is Black Velvet ... a Canadian blended bourbon!
ReplyDeleteYou probably knew that!
@ Marcia LaRue -- And Black Velvet is made right here in Alberta! (Lethbridge to be precise, near Calgary).
DeleteI would sooo build that gingerbread dive bar.
ReplyDelete@ BootsandBraids -- I know you would! You are the Queen of Unique Gingerbread Houses!
DeleteOh my goodness, these are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe gingerbread dive bar and the Satan ones are my favorites! Haha!
ReplyDeleteThese are great!
ReplyDeleteI loved all of these! I'm going to be pondering a charcuterie chalet of my own...
