  1. Hubs and I are invited to a Solstice party this evening at 7pm. What were the hosts thinking? We are usually falling asleep in front of the TV by 8 o’clock. Also asking an expert: What is proper attire and etiquette for a Solstice party?

  23. Happy Solstice indeed. Love these celebrations of the seasons. And, in goodness of the day, I'm wrapped in a crocheted blanket, sipping on a raspberry mocha. Not too shabby.

  24. Codex: Hello. I'm curious. What is the significance of the labyrinth on solstice?

    1. @ Anonymous -- Hi Codex -- People like to use labyrinths for introspection and "walking meditation" all year around. Labyrinths can be especially popular at Winter Solstice since this occasion is regarded as a time for contemplation and looking inward. Walking a labyrinth lit by candlelight at night or in the darkness can be a very powerful way to mark the Winter Solstice.

    2. Ah. Thank you. I thought there was a deeper meaning behind solstice labyrinths beyond contemplation.
