Oh, they can get mighty cranky when they get older.... He was quite the lovey little thing for the first years.....but then - Sheesh. Spit and snarl and chatter. I was like, Dude, I'm just bringing you your dinner!
Raccoons can be such a conundrum. They are so dang cute and yet, one of them can decimate a flock of chickens by figuring out how to get into the roost at night.
I’m glad someone understands what it’s like to have all your flabbers gasted. They are so clever, so dextrous, so adorable, and at times a complete nightmare.
I know many people think raccoons are pests, and since I very seldom see many here, although they are here they do make me laugh. They are the perfect little thieves with their little bandit masks.
@ Yorkshire Pudding -- No, raccoons are not a problem in Edmonton. I think we're too far north and our winters are too cold for them to get established here. But yes, in milder Toronto further south, they basically run the city.
Cuteness overload. We have a raccoon that comes into our backyard regularly and she will bring her young ones as soon as they are able to. Despite doing a lot of mess I like them and can't be mad at them. They're just trying to survive. The last one - oh my! I would love to do that, but will probably never do.
LOVE raccoons. One night my poodle and I were looking out the back slider and saw three raccoons in a row, plod by the door. My dog backed slowly away LeeAnna
I think the little Trash Pandas are the cutest things ever! We used to get them in the yard of our old house and I just know they were swimming in our pool. (Probably cleaning their food!)
All my flabbers are gasted too! And those happy stuffed raccoons on doll scooters: LOL!!
ReplyDelete...amen to the first one!
ReplyDeleteI watched the last one many times. Don’t think I’d be brave enough to hold out something for a raccoon to take from my hands!
ReplyDelete😚🦝 I agree, Marie! I watched many times! I started to worry about my mental state when I was unable to snap myself out of saying "awww!" each time! 🥴🤪
DeleteThose taxidermied racCoons are NOT cute. They are creepy AF!
ReplyDeleteBut they're right about cell phones.
And I'll be stealing that one.
OMG
ReplyDeleteHysterical!
And you know that it's her husband, her cats and me who are baffled now!

ReplyDeleteIn German they are called: Waschbär. They might be 'trashy', but they do keep clean. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat little creatures.
ReplyDeleteReally great. I love these.
ReplyDeleteRaccoons are so cute. Its a shame they're such pests in the garbage.
ReplyDeleteI need a t-shirt that says my "flabbers are gasted" lol.
ReplyDeleteI know that they have big problems with raccoons in Toronto but is this also true of Edmonton?

DeleteThe turning a hobby into a job cartoon was my favorite today.
