Hello everyone!!!
Her Royal Highness the Cat here.
Halloween is, of course, my favourite time of year!
At least, ever since I used up all nine of my lives.
By the way, do you know why cats have nine lives?
I've got one beef about Halloween, though.
Cats get a really bad rap at this time of year.
It's like people think we're evil or something.
WTF is up with that????
It's all slander and libel,
according to my old pal Purrywise.
Now, it is true that we felines
do have certain, shall we say, psychic abilities . . .
. . . but we use our powers only for good, not evil!
And we never ever misuse our powers
for selfish or self-serving reasons.
That's why our humans (dead or undead) love us so!
And here's a closeup of Dracula's cat
(a good buddy of mine) --
By the way, just so you know when I come
to your door to trick-or-treat on October 31st,
this will be my costume --
Give me lots of cat treats!
No, no, there's no implied threat here at all.
Just because I'm armed doesn't mean I'll use my weapon
on the less generous among you or anything like that.
Ha ha, what a silly idea!
Oh my god, Dracula’s cat!!! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI've had lots of cats in my lifetime and hardly any tried to kill me. Well, there was that one...... ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why they get a bad rap at this time either; perhaps it's that old fable about not crossing a black cat or something other. We are catless now after having them forever and one thing I can say is: my dining room table is hair-free and I don't have to share the cup of water I keep at my bedside.
Happy Humpday!!
The It cat is fantastic, and the Dracula cat is truth.
ReplyDeletePeople here in Smallville get very weird about black cats at Halloween, so I take pictures of Tuxedo everywhere to show him off; he's a "Boo" Kitty.
I can so totally relate to some of these memes. The mewing at 2 am and the getting squeezed off of the bed or out of the coffin in this case. But in no way do I think cats are evil or aloof. The cats I have known are super needy and love people. When are you gonna get another cat?
ReplyDelete@ Lady M -- When am I going to get another cat? HRH has forbidden it.
ReplyDelete@ Lady M -- No one can replace me. NO ONE!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf Dracula had a cat. hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteDracula and Walking Dead cats are priceless!
ReplyDeleteNo worries HRH.....I love and strongly endorse black cats.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Thanks for the giggles!1
ReplyDeleteI saw one cat didn't come back after two pit bulls got a hold of it. Was that the last life?
ReplyDeletehohoho
ReplyDeleteA patient of mine came to his appointment wearing the T-shirt in your photo. I though it was the Yule cat.
That cat with the Ouija board this Wednesday. It was probably hard to decide if it went with the Halloween Post or Ouija post.
ReplyDeleteSome of your readers observe, notice, scrutinize, detect these little tidbits.
They keep their eye on the look out for such things.
Did I mention that they also love to nit-pick???
ME? I just LOVE all your posts!!!
Hah, cat Halloween costumes! No, I can't imagine how the association of cats with evil got started. Even with bat wings or fangs, it's almost impossible to make a cat look scary.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough for Dracula. Not only is that his bed, but to a cat it looks like a big cardboard box. Of course the cat is going to seize possession of it.
haha...daryl is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween HRH!
ReplyDeleteDracula and his cat. That was so purrrfect.
ReplyDeleteNot letting the Demon Duo see any of those pictures - no need to give them any more ideas!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, those are all so funny! You are quite a delight! I love them all.
ReplyDeletedracula cat - hee hee hee!
ReplyDeleteHow is that Walking Dead cat not ready to kill somebody? Dogs you can dress up, but cats?
ReplyDeleteReading your blog is bad for my health and my wallet, because I keep wanting those t-shirts.
Neighbour's black cat doesn't make a sound as long as we all creep past silently, heads lowered. Her tail swishes silently … I'll be glad when it's November
ReplyDeleteGreat post. It is all true too.
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, I don't know how these rumors about cats get started. Cats are perfectly tractable--as long as you don't cross them and you give them whatever they want, which is entirely reasonable.
ReplyDelete--Jim
I recently purchased a new queen-sized bed, forgetting that my 18-pound cat considers it mandatory that he sleep with me. All is well until my spouse comes to bed. Then it's cattitude.
ReplyDeleteThe Daryl cat is the best!!!
ReplyDeleteDaryl post is just wild. Also love the cat blanket but IT cat is the best. You know, instead of art, I should just tack memes all over my walls. HahaHA. they bring me such laughter. Debra, I've got a new blog. Please come visit me at welcometosimple.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOmg Purrywise!
ReplyDeleteAlso the little vampire kitty! Do want!
XoXo
It's not Halloween without cats.
ReplyDeleteDracula's cat lived with me for awhile. He could open doors at will.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, HRH. Deb knows full well that you'd make a cat o'lantern out any other cat she might adopt... Happy Meowloween!!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Daryl, I want your pawtograph.
ReplyDeleteOh, HRH, you KILLED, and I mean KILLED, this post.
Thank you.
Well. Just some people.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
I don't even know where to begin. I mean, Darryl - that's the best! But the one that made me chuckle the most...Purrywise. Closely followed by the cat reaper. These were great!
ReplyDeleteElsie
So much fun, and a reminder that all cats rule, and continue to give everyone a reason to come up with memes, and for us to love them(lol) Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteCan the cat write all the posts?
ReplyDelete@ BWBandy -- THANK YOU, kind sir, my sentiments EXACTLY!
ReplyDelete@ BWBandy -- Oh fer gawd's sake, do NOT encourage her. HRH takes up too much oxygen around here as it is. She thinks she's the boss of me AND this blog.
ReplyDeleteGood one HRH ! Well of the cat Bat or is it a bat cat...too cute...
ReplyDeleteThat Dracula's cat is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI have no use for Halloween fun, friend D as I do not like to be scared. I wish you much fun though. Much love, cat.
ReplyDeleteThe cat is out of the Halloween bag now.
ReplyDeletethe cat dressed as Darryl cracks me up..
ReplyDeleteThe Ouija and the Dracula...HAHAHAHA! Cats...how can you not love them?
ReplyDeleteI adore this post! Thanks for the chuckles. It was nice to hear from HRH too!
ReplyDeleteHRH deserves all the kitty treats AND catnip laced goodies
