Tattoo Roundup

So not every post this month will be about Halloween.
This one is about something equally scary though
(at least according to some people) -- tattoos!

If anyone ever hassles you about your tats,
here's the perfect comeback!

I must say, I've never personally had this particular dilemma --

Yes! The only opinion that matters here is yours!

If I ever get a third tattoo, it will be
a quotation from a favourite
Leonard Cohen song.

Although I do also love Moby-Dick . . . .

Pikachu, I choose you!
Well, at least the second version of you!

Cats and dogs are often tattooed.
Mostly in their ears, but not always . . . .

Hey, isn't that the Winter Soldier's cat?

Oh, wait! Here's a Halloween tattoo LOL after all!

  1. I'm not into tats, but to each her/his own. that last cartoon is a funny one.

  2. I would never ever think of getting a tattoo. But I must have gotten one or two sometime.
I have these little brown polka dots all over my arms and face. Probably better than red and green dots.

  3. hahahaha ... Love the last one with Frankie brushing off the 'ex' tat. I'm not big on getting poked by needles (god knows why I bead?!)

  4. That was fun. So true about the chefs having sleeves and the kitten seaving up for the second arm, too cute. Happy Thanksgiving and boogie boogie.

  5. i love the cat waiting to get it's other sleeve done! perfect!

  6. I think tattoos are mostly primitive... at least in most cases. That guy on the bike would've been hotter without them.

  7. OMG the kitty one with the Buckie reference! Yes, yes, yes!

    XoXo

  8. Having tattoos I always suggest thinking about your life in the years ahead ... would you get hired with a face tattoo? Would a whole body tattoo stretch and wrinkle as the years flew by? Are you even going to remember that cartoon character in fifty years?

  9. That Frankenstein cartoon is fabulous. As for tats, none for me personally as needles make me cringe. But each to his own, especially where fashion is concerned.

  10. Oh my gosh...so many funnies here today!! I'm not a tattoo person, but I can understand the allure. If it covered up some of my scars or wrinkles perhaps....

  11. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

The first one....I had never though of that!!!!

  12. If I ever had a tattoo it would be a dandelion fairy or possibly several, maybe on my shoulder. But I am a wimp. Some tattoos look better than others. The first man, mmmmmm.

  13. All great, but the kitty waiting to get the second sleeve done was my fave!

  14. wow what an odd thought of Frankenstein having tattoos from some other body. funny stuff. Personally I just don't get the attraction of tattoos.

  15. Yes, the cat saving for his other sleeve! Maybe I should consider a tattoo as this rebellious stage of life. A Viking?

  16. Alberta cat and Theo Thunderbutt say: We especially love those certain "tootattoos" :)

  17. My son has sleeves done with lots of designs he did himself but don't think he knew about the biker thing going on. He was actually become a walking catalog for what he could do with a homemade tattoo machine made from a Bic pen, some needles and old electric shaver. So lucky he,or anyone he tattooed never got an infection. Yikes!

  21. I've never seen cats so interestingly marked. Worse luck.

  22. Loved the first cat with one shoulder the best. Too Funny. Like the other cat and firehouse dog too. Frank was hilarious.

  23. I love the idea of pet tattoos (on pets)! I sometimes like tattoos but I change my mind so often that the minute I had myself inked I'd change my mind. I bought a bunch of temporary tattoos at a costume shop in NYC last month. Haven't done anything with them yet.

  24. Thanks for the chuckles. They were needed today... Maybe I should have that as a tat across my back in a stylish font.

  25. That cover-up artist deserves a medal! And that Frank one hilarious.

  26. Not a fan..Love the cat with the sleeve..Enjoy your weekend..

  27. I loved all of this. The not regretting not getting eaten alive is brilliant. And all the animal ones, especially the kitty saving for her next sleeve, had me rolling!

  28. The Halloween tattoo comic is hilarious! I have three and that's it for me. I can't handle that pain anymore in my "old" age lol!

  29. In the original novel, Frankenstein does not create the monster with body parts: it's never explained how he does it, only that he uses something from corpses.

  30. I'm reminded of when I lived in SE London and a bloke in a coffee shop told me that he liked my 'ta'oos'. (Huh? What?) A few seconds pause as I sorted out what he'd said in my head-- 'Oh, tattoos! Thanks very much.'

  31. Almost all of my son's friends have tattoos, but he doesn't and says he doesn't plan to. (He always hated needles!) But if he sees that Pikachu one, he might change his mind!😄

  32. Yes, I have a few tats, and you've reminded that I need more 😀 These are all so much fun!

  33. A lot of those cartoons/pics are hilarious, especially those cat ones.

Both of my kids have tats (go figure), and my son still wants to get a sleeve done, even though I think that his new job wouldn't appreciate it. My daughter recently got one of a sunflower halfway done her side (so the only way you can see it is either via a bikini or if she lifts her shirt up).

I have no issues with tats, only that I personally do not like sleeves.

  34. LOL- Love it.
My daughter has a small tat of 3 little birds on a wire and one that is taking flight for the little daughter she lost due to hospital error. It kind of breaks my heart every time I see it but I know it brings her comfort. xo Diana

  38. Lol - that cat does deserve a firehouse gig.
Fun post, Debra. I'd like to see your tattoos. Have you showed us? Please do.

    A happy week to you.

  39. People are shocked to learn that I have 6 tattoos. They don't expect it of a fat, gray haired church lady. But all of mine are medical tattoos to mark the radiation fields from my bout with breast cancer. One is fading and I'd like to get it redone, you know, incase it's ever needed. It is a single dot. I would think that it wouldn't be that much. But I've asked at 2 different shops and the best price to get it done is $60. Sixty dollars for that. I can't understand how anyone can afford sleeves. I wonder what the cat does for a living.

  40. @ Rawkynrobin -- Yes, my tattoos are documented (some might say excessively so, lol) under the label "Tattoo Chronicles." You can click on it at the bottom of this post or over on the right sidebar and then scroll through the posts until you find the relevant ones!

  41. First thing my youngest daughter did on her 18th birthday was to get a tat. I have 1 but think I'd like another at some point...

  42. *snicker* I really like my one tattoo on my back. It's too big to be a tramp stamp, so I'll just call it a madam mark. :D

  43. I believe that gratefulness makes us happy!

  44. LOL! Brilliant Deb!!! LOL! Love the last one! LOL! Big Hugs!

  45. These are great, Debra! I don't have tattoos myself, but I can understand the allure.

  46. My uncles who were in the navy during the war all had tatoos. My grandmother did not approve at all.

  47. I have to show my older daughter the Pikachu one!
