Don't be sad, little girl!
Time to cheer up, because today is . . .
Who knew such a date existed?
But it does, and today's the day!
How can people say unicorns aren't real?
If unicorns aren't real, then who is
snow-blowing this driveway?
Everyone loves unicorns,
and quite rightly so.
Try to marry one, if you can!
It will always be an improvement!
So don't let the pandemic get you down --
We will soon be having
unicorn parties again!
See you there!
Yes, Unicorns!
ReplyDeleteI want that cake!
And the Origami.
The Michigan Unicorn takes it all, though. Rad.
XOXO
It is always a good day, to decide to have fun and have a good day.
ReplyDeleteThe origami is cute. Agree about battle unicorns, for sure. Kids are clever at seeing the world
ReplyDelete"I transitioned get over it." I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat cake is adorable. They need to have that on the show Nailed It. Have you seen it? It's hilarious!
Happy Unicorn Day!
Elsie

ReplyDelete"twatopotamus" - hee hee!
here is a one minute unicorn video (NSFW): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqUHQYJ4fEQ
I think kids should name everything.
ReplyDeleteTotal sidebar, I went to Elephant Child's blog from last Sunday just now and she posted about hot air ballons - one of them is a...unicorn.
ReplyDeleteShe has a ton of pictures in case you haven't seen it yet:

I love unicorns!
ReplyDelete@ anne marie in philly -- Oh, that video is SO BAD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, I love it, of course! I may not ever eat mayonnaise again, though.
ReplyDelete@ Elsie Amata -- Thanks for that link to Elephant Child's blog and her photos of the fab hot air unicorn balloon! I love hot air balloons and that one is extra special!
ReplyDeleteI liked the Battle Unicorn best lol!
ReplyDeleteI want a unicorn....and perhaps a battle unicorn as well!
ReplyDeleteI have a 3 foot tall stuffed unicorn named Merlin! LOVE the origami!!
ReplyDeleteIs this holiday in any "national"? I want that last unicorn for the beach. I can only find one-person unicorns here. Then again, that's probably an American Unicorn. Everything has to be bigger there.
ReplyDeleteMy niece is crackers for unicorns; I just texted her wishing her a happy day.
ReplyDeleteDebra, you are familiar with so many dates and occasions that I have never even been aware of or heard of before.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought a unicorn was a corn cob with one kernel of corn on it.
ReplyDeleteWe are celebrating the same day (but in a different way). Hi. Everybody mentioned your blog on mine because we're celebrating this day, today. Have a lovely. And thanks for sharing these. Every day is magic!
ReplyDeleteHello Debra, This reminds me of an old post of yours that showed Noah standing on the ark saying something like "Unicorn steaks are delicious!" That was one of my favorites.
ReplyDelete--Jim
I've been told I am a gay unicorn.
ReplyDeleteNow lets sprinkle some glitter girl!!!!!!!
That's quite a collection of Unicorns!
ReplyDeleteThe leopard-moose-camel meme is gold.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday and weekend.
Maybe unicorns were the offspring of beluga whales and narwhals, but only a few managed to crawl ashore in the arctic and that's why they're so rare?
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, the snow-blowing unicorn sure gave me a much needed belly laugh this morning... I wish sometimes there was a vaccine to ward off twatopotami, LOL!
Unicorns are a favorite of mine. I grew up belting "The Unicorn" by the Irish Rovers and started to collect them once but moved on to Giraffes (so very apropos for this post, eh?)

ReplyDeleteThanks for this update. While checking out the National blank day I discovered it is ALSO National Chinese Almond Cookie day. So I'm having cookies with my unicorn.

ReplyDeleteLast one in the raft is a twatopotamus.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn’t love inicorns?
ReplyDeleteIf I flew away on a unicorn, I wonder where she'd take me. It's lovely to think about it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Love the unicorn-giraffe comparison. And the reindeer comic.

The "Battle Unicorn" made my day.
ReplyDeleteHi, friend D ... and a very happy unicorn day to you as well :) I hope you and your loved ones are still happy and healthy? PS: Regarding the blogger settings ... I never changed them in years. And I'm definitely not changing to "Moderation off". Sending love, cat.

ReplyDeleteof course I was 27.
Love these. I believe!
ReplyDeleteBesides the perfectly named Battle Unicorn, I have also heard Tree Horse for a giraffe and Cobra Chicken for a goose. Some names are just more descriptive!
Something about unicorns just makes people smile, and I've got a ton of stickers that I use for my Planners. Thanks for the smiles today, and sending lots and lots of hugs your way. RO
ReplyDeleteFrom this day on, I will always refer to giraffes as "leopard-moose-camels with a 40 foot neck". I shall also get extremely crossed with anyone who says that unicorns aren't real.
ReplyDeleteHappy (belated) National Unicorn Day!
Mmmmm...Legolas...
ReplyDeleteWhat's that about unicorns now?
