Did you see where King Charles told the artist David Hockney that he liked his "yellow galoshes"? Queen Elizabeth would have known they were crocs, I bet!
My dentist used to wear crocs. I was always nervous about his falling when he was working on me, since my only acquaintance with them was people recounting the falls they'd taken on steps. I guess falling is not inevitable.
I may have to rethink this relationship....oh....I must go lie down on the fainting chaise. MS Moorecock...bring me my smelling salts...and a fun with bromide..........
@ Lady M -- No, I don't have a pair and have never worn them, precisely because I need good orthotics in my shoes and always wear my custom ones. But I think Crocs do have a molded arch support in them? I know lots of people swear by how comfy Crocs are. My Rare One has a bright yellow pair but her teen nieces back in the day wouldn't be seen on the street with her if she was wearing them, LOL! They said she looked like Donald Duck in them!
I love mine to quickly slip on and go out into the garden. But I wouldn’t ever wear them out and about. I’ve seen people do that and I wonder Do they actually have a mirror that goes down that far to see how they look! At least they’re colourful I guess
I never bought a pair of crocs when they were first available here and now all I can find is cheap copies which don't feel the same I've been told. Love the selection here :)
Crocs are very handy for a quick trip to the back yard, taking out the trash, watering in the summer. I've had a pair for years and the damned things never wear out. I don't wear them away from home, except for camping trips. The memes are excellent, as always! E
My brother wears them. They look comfortable on his feet. Because he lives in Chicago, i don't know what shoes in winter time. He wears his crocs with style and panache.
I noticed one of my girls was wearing them recently and I was surprised....of course, she gushed over how comfy they are. Laughing at the Country Croc.
I couldn't stop thinking about these crocs. So i asked my brother in Chicago, what about winter time? He laughed and said thick wool socks inside my crocs. He said when the thaw comes and everything is slush and mud, he sometimes wears galoshes. We were laughing so hard, i forgot to ask about snowshoes.
These are hilarious, Debra! I love the look on the dachshund's face. I've never had a pair of crocs, and I likely never will. My doctor has me wearing ridiculous light weight hiking sneakers all the time. I finally got rid of the rigid, broken-foot-shoe today, and I'm right back into my hiking sneakers. So glamorous ~ lol! I hope that you are having a fun weekend with your Rare One. Maybe you should get her a new pair of yellow crocs for Christmas!
David Hockney just wore yellow Crocs to meet Charles III. And even you can own a pair by Balenciaga for only €895. Me? I love 'em AND hate 'em.
ReplyDeleteHaha my first thought was John!
ReplyDeleteI loathe them so much that I had NO idea that strap moved from the front to the back of the heel.
ReplyDeleteNow I loathe them more, though Country Crocs made me smile.

ReplyDeleteLove these. The crocsaint one is funny.
ReplyDeleteI got a pair of crocs for the first time last year. Mine are tie-dye colored.
I have been wearing Crocs since 2009 and after my first knee replacement surgery and now ... I can't wear the "regular" shoes I have in my closet!
ReplyDeleteWHAT WHAT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou really made me laugh so hard on Monday morning!
ReplyDeleteLove you right back my darling girl xxxx
ReplyDeleteI have never worn these monstrosities.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about getting a pair for around the house but still have not. Are they a good outdoor slipper? I think they are better than flip-flops.
ReplyDeleteI love mine to quickly slip on and go out into the garden.

I never judge anyone who wears crocs. But I do find them to be a good conversation starter.
ReplyDelete@ Bill Lisleman -- As far as I know, Crocs are great to wear outdoors too.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's go to footwear. I've never owned a pair.
ReplyDeleteCrouc a doodle doo.

If you visit Crystal Lake and see Croc-prints, RUN!
ReplyDeleteI am on the side of loving Crocs!!! They're so comfy. I love the crocissant!! ☺☺
ReplyDeleteThese are hilarious, especially the last one!
ReplyDeleteOh hate them so much.
ReplyDeleteNever had any, but love the idea as proto summertime slippers.
ReplyDeleteOh my thanks for making me familiar to other occupations of shoes
ReplyDeleteHaha! I never would have thought crocs would have the staying power that they have had over the years!
ReplyDeleteOh Jason. You so silly. Love the sport mode too.

ReplyDeleteBoth my LGBTQ+ kids have Crocs. I think my Darling Eldest is developing a John Waters style love of kitschy and slightly disturbing things,
