  1. That last one could make a few right-wing heads explode.

  2. That last quote is the best. I've used that in discussion with folks who don't want to hear it and of course, it falls on very deaf ears.

We cannot convince those who won't listen to try to understand. I have two friends that are transgender and made the transition. They are so much happier now.
Why should we deny that for them?

    Great post.

  3. love these, the last one is the best!

  4. Jax brought it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the second one best! Until one is in their shoes, one should not judge or harass them. They only need a ear to listen to and support.

  5. So many are so good, but that last one.
    Yes, explain that away wingnuts.

  10. Yes, people know who they are better than any of us looking on. It's not open to debate. Human rights.

  11. These all brought tears to my eyes. They're all about truth.

  12. Trans people are being victimized every day now. Mainly by a bunch of right wing Republicans who are ashamed some of them secretly make their PP hard 😂😂😂😂

  13. Today is a good day to remember We'wha. You can look her up.
Many people have heard of her, but many have not.

  14. Excellent points, and that last one is a mic dropper. Love it.

    Cheers and pride, Debra.

  15. That history of left-handedness speaks loudly. #insertfistbumphere

  16. Martha Kelly's is right on.

And if you disagree with that last one, what purpose do those male nipples serve again?

  17. That last one… OK, and everyone before.

  18. Every person needs to love who they are, so that they can love others, and others can love them.

  19. Lots of things here I need to remember if I start over-thinking it.

  20. Love all of these. Every single one is a trans flag waving in the face of close-minded bigotry.

  21. I love all of these, Debra. Thank you. The one about left-handed folks is the one that always fascinates me. I hope it gets better and I have faith in the generation of kids that are coming up now.

  22. Thanks for this post, Debra! It certainly has a lot in it to think about. If I have learned anything about trans people it's that they don't go through such a procedure without a very, very strong motivation. Terry really likes this reality tv show called "90 Day Fiancé the Other Way." An American has a fiancé in another country and goes there. He/she has to marry the fiancé within 90 days or return to the USA. I got sucked into watching it with Terry while we were in Hawaii. One of the Americans was a trans guy (changed from female to male). He fell in love with a Columbian woman and they decided to get married. When they told her religious parents that her fiancé was a trans man, their reaction was unbelievable. They were so loving, supportive, and accepting that it brought tears to my eyes. If more people in this world could be like those parents it would be a much better place. Throughout the show and during the 3-hour wrap-up at the end, I learned so much. The trans husband (they did get married) shared a lot about what he went through, both mentally and physically. I am extremely upset over what is happening in the USA, as I've said before. I cannot wait to vote and to help get the vote out.

  23. @ Fundy Blue -- That sounds like a wonderful series, Louise! I wish I had seen it! If I find it on some streaming service, I'll watch it, thanks!

  24. Trans is none of my business; but I feel the need to protect them from religious bigots. And this is a religious persecution disguised as political.

  25. Great post..especially the last one!!

  26. Dear Ol' Buzzard -- i used feel that way too. But then these clever hate mongering bigots figured out a way to divide us.
I suppose i am cis-homoramantic asexual gay male? What???
    Says who? Not me.
Can't they find something else to do? Go mind your own fuckingbizness, is my advice to these fools.
My other advice is- you mess with one bean, you mess with the whole burrito. So you can't scare us with this this stupid trans panic.

  31. "You cannot agree to disagree with someone's existence" Oooooh, I LIKE that one! I'll have to use it. And I also really like the one from Ari Drennen with her common sense about why we're seeing higher rates of trans people. Same logic as with left-handed people. My mom's youngest sister was left-handed and she was punished out of it. Fast forward years later to my younger daughter who is also left-handed and who was encouraged and celebrated for it. Had she been born around my mom's time, she may have met with my aunt's fate. Same goes with trans folks. The safer people feel, the more they'll be their authentic selves. And the higher the rates will be. Why is that so hard to understand?

  32. I really love the first one and I think the left-handed one also makes great sense. Gay treatment will be looked back on like putting Indigenous children in schools to teach them what is "right."

  33. The last one and the one about left-handedness are perfect
