We introverts don't really mind
not being able to socialize with many people.
In fact, that's our preferred mode of existence!
We are not shy and we do like people,
but we definitely need to be
solitary creatures in order
to recharge our batteries.
If we don't get as much "alone time" as we need,
our energy gets run into the ground.
So introverts are not party-hearty types.
In fact, parties wear us out
and can be an ordeal.
You can spot the introvert at a party
by seeing who's hanging around the margins,
letting others be the centre of attention!
Introverts lead inward-focused lives
and that's just fine by us!

I enjoyed that post immensely! -Jenn
People are interesting, at a distance,
SG and I are both introvert/extroverts. I'm a bit more extrovert in recent years than SG who used to be very much an extrovert. Yes, we confuse and exhaust ourselves. "I always regret the plans I made..." is SG in a nutshell. So our limited lives this year has been a mixed bag.
This.Is.So.Me.
So true!
Hello Debra, With all those big staring eyes everywhere, I can see why the Sarah Anderson character needs to unwind!

the "plans and putting on clothes" sign is me.
since being laid off my job, I cannot be arsed to go out and socialize. of course, with COVID lurking about, who WANTS to see possibly-infected people? I will see my blogger friends again when it's safe to do so though.
This is so spot on. Yes I have missed social interaction during the pandemic, but it hasn't bothered me a lot. I can spend an afternoon in the garden digging, pruning, landscaping; or in the kitchen making homemade bread or pasta or an elaborate meal for my hubby. I am perfectly content. I've been known to swear when the phone rings, more often than not, "Now who's bothering me? For crying out loud, I'm busy!" It's usually one of those extrovert friends calling who won't let you get a word in edgewise. And if you do get a word in, the extrovert goes off on another 30 minute discourse on the topic....Enough!
This is so funny and brutally honest too. I LOL'd at the Armageddon = 3 people.
Love this post. Especially the making plans when I was in a 5 minute extrovert mode. Have a great day.
This is me, it's all so true! I wonder, are all bloggers introverts?
i just told my husband the other day that i think I'm going to be sad when the pandemic is over. though sometimes i can be very much an extrovert.
I totally agree ... l am so much an introvert ... OMG The lockdown hasn't upset me in the least ... Trump had me going into panic attacks, so I'm so very glad he is history [for the most part]!
Well - all things considered - I fit in with the introvert descriptions just fine!
SO me!!! especially the "Introvert's Heart"!
TFS
I completely agree. I'm with the people I love most. I am surprised to realize that I don't really miss other people all that much. What I really have no interest in is getting back together with family members who've exposed themselves as Trump fans.
Introverts unite.....in your own house....alone♥
DEBS!!!!!!!!!!!! That guide to social situations crack me up! I almost sprayed my coffee! I have a friend that very much fits, so I find it amusing and have sent it to him.
I resemble this post and laughed out loud at the first meme, disturbing nobody, not a soul within miles.
Have a great week.
Yes to all of this! Especially the happy dance when plans are canceled! I actually hid in the house the other day when someone knocked on my door. Much, much later I discovered that a neighbor had left me a bottle of wine. LoL.
I'm going to miss the lockdown. Some of us are already strategizing on how to extend it indefinitely...
Gosh Debra...this post describes me to a T...I'm such an introvert and I find it emotionally draining to be around people for very long!!
You bet I think this post is about me.
Remember that banner during the Trump years: things are so bad even the introverts are marching!
My favorite words: sorry, it's cancelled.
Yay! I get to stay home legitimately.
I have plenty of friends, and I love them, and I can't be with them for long without needing to be alone and recharge. Not at all shy, easily work a party. I can't go from one event to another, gah.
How can I be an introvert when I look forward to reading my blogs every day? Is that not a form of social interaction?
Oh pook.
Introverts like going out/doing things etc.
What makes an introvert is 'where do you go to recharge your energy?" If the answer is 'at home, by myself , to myself" than you are an introvert
i hardcore relate to every one of these!!
:-)
love, kisses & magical wishes...

Wow! I used to think I was just shy. Now I realize that I'm an introvert pushed into shyness at an early age! Balder Half is an extrovert. Somehow we've managed to tolerate each other for fifty years (if you count high school). These are so hilariously true.
What a great way to start a new week! The Introvert's Heart and that cat being dragged off its bed is soooo me, LOL! Sad to think I started off as a gregarious extrovert though.
Hilarious stuff indeed, introverts rule!
Warm greetings to you.
OMG I need that Introvert Heart in a poster. Like, yesterday!!
XOXO
excellent
Very much identify with this.
I think I am both. Can I be that? LOL! I love that guy wiggling his head! LOL! Great post Debra! Big Hugs!
The last one I misread as "eat snakes". And thought, "those poor fools."
While I don't think I came out of the womb that way (as opposed to aspects of my sexuality), experience has made me very much an introvert, something that has increased with age. I can very much relate to these.
Love these. The older I get the more I realise that I am an introvert with a few extrovert moments when I like going out and about!
Great post Debra. My husband and myself are both introverts. I am more out going than him because I do talk to people. Most of the time, he mumbles through life unless he really knows the people. He then can be jolly and tell jokes. Some people just talk too much!
Love this..It's me..Love the "put on clothes and leave the house" sign.I should have that tattooed on my chest..I often just throw a coat on over whatever my uniform of the day is..as long as I don't have to take it off where I am going..Love winter...
Party? That's the miserable thing I can't attend because the dogs need me.
Love,
Janie
My wife and I are not introverts. We just don't like being around people.
the Ol'Buzzard
OMG - I am laughing so hard at these I think I gonna pee my pants - especially that last one! And the one about making regrettable plans during that 5 minutes of extrovert time. I am such an introvert!
This is very funny! Thanks for making me laugh non-stop!
xoxo

How did I miss this on my sidebar?! There is nothing more satisfying than canceled plans.
Oh, and I almost forgot. What lockdown? I hadn't noticed.
I'm an introvert and being trapped in a house with my partner and daughter for a year has been hard work. I haven't had a day alone for months and it's exhausting. I love them dearly but I need some space.
Is there anything better than cancelled plans? ah bliss.
Introvert hangover is 100% real. :D
Great stuff. Sarah's Scribbles got it right. I for one have really enjoyed the confinement so far. I hated my previous job and most of my colleagues, do I didn't have to deal with them anymore. I got a new job and still don't have to commute, my days end earlier, I have more time to myself and nobody is looking over my shoulder.
I think I'm both. I can do great in small crowds, large crowds or alone in my living room. It's easier for me to stay home for days at a time then to party days at a time. Although at one time that would have been just the opposite..
hahahahaha
i am laughed to death lol
you rock dear Debra this is mind blowing and hilarious post each one made me laugh and i had to cover my mouth so other don't notice me ,my youngest one will leave study and ask about my well being haha
the second last one hahahaha
i had so much fun today and thanks to you
hugs !
I loved every one of these memes. The pandemic has been great for me. No need to feel guilty. I have a coming out party scheduled with my sister for Easter lunch. She can talk the paint off the walls and I will be hunkering down by myself for a week or two after that.
