As Found in Only the BEST Homes

Nothing says "welcome" like a little barbed wire!

Please, have a seat in
my dying living room!

But no feet on the coffee table please!
Unless they're dismembered.

Too dim in here?
Feel free to turn on a lamp!

Here is the cat tree . . .
but where is the cat?

Oh, here's my sweet little Murder Cat!

Many thanks to blogging buddy Shirley of BootsandBraids
for this thoughtful and generous surprise Halloween gift!

Murder Cat is now a permanent resident in
my library/office/computer room, where I can keep
a careful and wary eye on him while blogging.

No creeping up on me undetected!

The cat tree is hilarious. I would love to sit in the pumpkin chair!

I think cats have enough weapons without adding in a dagger! Scary stuff.

These are awesome! The cat tree and the murder cat are my favorites. You have a really good friend. So, are you going to add to Murder Cat's arsenal? The butcher knife looks so lonely... Maybe it needs a hammer.

I’d be happy with the pumpkin and raven chairs and, especially, murder cat. How lucky/loved you are!

I love all of this stuff! What a great post. I actually have a hanging skeleton on my birthday list (no one got me one, so it’s going to stay there), because I love that sort of thing all year round. The murder cat is something I definitely need. I’m going to have to find one of those, and put it in place. Thanks for all the eye candy.

Murder cat is on one of my Halloween sweatshirts, but his knife is dripping blood and he is asking "What?" which I think is the perfect question! My other shirt says "Never Moon A Werewolf" and I love watching the faces of some people who are slow to get it! 🤣

OMG the raven chair! I may need that.
Also, the killer kitty. Now.

XOXO

Love the pumpkin and raven chairs. Does that bat look as if he's about to flash at passers-by?

Hello Debra, My favorites are the iron bat lantern, the skeleton lamp, and the crow/raven armchair. Even after that documentary, I am not sure which. It seems to have the thinner beak that signifies the crow, but ravens have more symbolic value to translate into a fabric pattern. Which do you think it is? That is the difficult mystery question.

@ Parnassus (Jim) -- I think the armchair birds are pretty clearly crows. Ravens are much, much bigger. The really difficult mystery questions are the identity of those objects pictured in your current blog post, LOL! Incidentally, that iron bat lantern is apparently an antique fixture from a cabaret. It has a "night life of the demi-monde" kind of vibe, isn't it? My money's on Weimar Germany.

The pumpkin chair looks comfy. Real easy to fall asleep in it.

You know of my fondness for flying foxes, so naturally, I LOVE the hanging bat lantern! Murder Cat is very cute, but given the size of the wall crack above it, I'd say HRH is very DISPLEASED... from now on, check all your slippers for cat shit, LOL!

I suddenly need to find a way to turn my skeleton into a lamp or buy one. Murder Cat looks right at home.
