I have to chuckle as my MIL loved Halloween and she asked me to find her a sign to put on her apartment door that said, "The Witch is in!". Witching is a hobby... LOL!
A lot of these made me laugh! If you have Netflix, check out A Discovery of Witches [it is excellent!] I just started watching The Witcher ... so far I'm liking this series, too!
When I was about 8 years old, a neighborhood mother dressed in all black witches costume, and had green face / hand paint. She stood on a box (to be taller) in her front yard on Halloween night (back when we did trick-or-treating in the dark). I knew it was her. But when I got close enough to really get a good look, she said in a low, quiet voice: Boo. Scared the crap out of me!! She's 90 years old now, and I'm over 60. But that is still one of my favorite memories. To this very day, she's my "other mother" and I rely on her wit and wisdom for so many things. I love you, Sharon! ❤️
Love these memes! Love the Witch energy! I dressed as a witch for decades for Halloween and as a result have quite a robust collection of ragged black dresses and cloaks, hats, and even some striped tights. Scared a few neighbor kids along the way... Not on purpose, mind you, just a result of the atmosphere of Halloween.
And, how good it is to see smug Dorothy on her yellow brick road in orange crocs instead of sparkly red dancing shoes. If witches were able to redress the balance in the world today....no golf for Trump....houses for the homeless....then Happy Halloween.
Most of the witchcraft hysteria was a product of Christian ethics that sought to stamp out superstitions from pagan ancient times as - not just heresy - but as a "conduit" for the devil and evil. In England, it was a criminal offence - see The Witchcraft Acts.!!
Ph I feel the cauldron one all too well. Our cauldron (aka our huge Revereware stockpot is liekewise too big for the Dishwasher; heck it's almost too big for the sink!
Washing it produces a cacophony of clanking (and not a little cursing) trying to wash it...everyone's lucky I am NOT a witch because people'd be turning into toads, worms and spiders for a block around every time I washed it!
And fun fact. The last picture, the beautiful Gale Sondergaard was slated to play the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz. She even did the costume run throughs, but it was later deemed she was far too pretty, slinky and glamorous to be the Wicked Witch.

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. It's always been a bitch to be a witch!
These are BRILLIANT!!!
Dorothy in crocs! Hide it from Maddie!!
Never let them steal your cackles is the best advice ever!

Oh yes.
That last one!
But the one about hobbies? I cackled so hard I got the hiccups.

Oh, how I LOVE that last one!!! Thank you for that.
🤣 I cackle best in slipper/scuffs, not Crocs. But, choose the footwear that works best for you! Curse others in comfort! 😘

Hi Debra, I liked the lightbulb one. I also like the dignified face of the "witch" who posed for the picture.

These made me laugh.
Darling Debra,
A cracking coven of witches here.:):)

I love Terry Pratchett's trio....Granny Weatherwax's "I aten't dead" sign....and Tiffany Aching...

Dorothy in the crocs is hilarious. Our kids wear them everywhere.

These are great, Debra. I love ❤️ the cats 🐈
Dorothy and those crocks - perfect for the spooky season.
The Crocs one made me laugh out loud!
Nothing particularly bewitching about crocs...but that was pretty funny.
Love each and everyone of these!
Me and the Wicked Witch finally agree on two things. Dorothy is annoying and yes...KEEP those shoes!

See... some days, it doesn't pay to be beautiful.
@ Mistress Maddie -- Oh, I did not know that! Thanks for that film factoid!
I love this perspective being put forward!
Someone needs a bigger dishwasher.
I LOVE these. Never did think about a witch having to wash the cauldron when she’s done.
Ha - these are fabulous. Especially love the one about the cauldron not fitting into the dishwasher. Potions are such a bear to scrub.
Love the rooms incense.
All of these are fabulous.
Early, but funny.
