Oh, I just read something about Thomas Moore. He did discipline his children by beating them, but he used peacock feathers! Thanks for sharing these quotes.
@ Kay G. -- I hadn't known about the peacock feather "beatings" before, thanks for telling me. I know Thomas More did highly educate all his daughters, which was absolutely unheard of then. Plus he's the patron saint of lawyers!

Great quotes; thank you for sharing 😘
All very appropriate quotes for right now. Scary.
I like Ray Bradbury's best of all....
If kindness were profitable...
If charity were rewarded materially....
If tolerance were tax deductible.....
These are so great ... but I love the first and last!
Almost time for my peaceful walk.
You're pretty serious today. Some real keepers here. And thank you for including at least one woman. She speaks for many of us.
Oh darn.
Some of these hit hard.
Ray Bradbury, though…
XOXO
The first and the last moved me the most. Thank you for these truths.
Powerful, profound quotes. The Ray Bradbury quote is chilling.
All so good. Bradbury's stands out for me.
Reading "Fahrenheit 451" was one of the most powerful eye-openers I've ever experienced.
💪🥳 Go Debra! Go Chekhov! Go Nietzche! Go Bradbury!.....

Excellent selection, worth reading through more than once.
That lot would make some cracking t-shirts 👌
They're all notable quotables! More, Bradbury, and Checkhov are especially resonant today.

Good collection as always, Debra!
They're all good, but Pratchett's quote is right on
Some very wise quotes. They truly make you think. Especially in todays world
I love the last Neitzsche quote best. Awesome collection :)
The Alden Nowlan quote should arguably end with "...and the day he cannot remember who he is and needs to wear diapers he becomes Donald Trump".
Great quotes!
These are all fantastic!
