I considered my 1 pound weight loss last year, a major victory, my doctor didn't agree and made suggestions. Be good to yourself, you are the only you, you have.
I love all of these. I'm not even trying to lose weight anymore. I just wait for the next Lupus flare and I lose 15 lbs in four days. I think that's the only upside to this disease.
I've made peace with my body. My closest friends have significant health issues and it has made me really aware of how functional my stocky, aging body is. My goal now is to add more vegetables on a *regular* basis. Other than that, I'm good.
Oh, some regular exercise would be good too... lol.
I hope I don't make anyone mad here, but I'm around 5'6" and never have had a weight problem and rarely had to diet. Maintain about 123 lb on a fat day. Do stay away from the saturated and love kale, broccoli and spinach.
We feed the vegetables that have gone "off" to the deer. They love us because there's something out there for them every single day! We are not salad people apparently.
I was eating chocolate covered cherries when I clicked on your post, Debra! Fortunately I was swallowing them quickly, so I didn't choke from laughing. You always find the best funnies!
It's so funny how you mentioned Kale a few times in this post and the next one...I have actually set a "filter" in my email to send any email containing the word "kale" to the trash lol...I get a lot of recipe newsletters and I'm just NOT into kale!

hee hee hee! I love every one of these!
I embrace my fat self and love the person I am!
First on my list as well.
Love these! The story of my life!
We don't have Reese's eggs here, but I have an unusual feeling I'd like them! We don't have Cadbury either :(
Hello Debra, That last one fits me to a T. You should see the temptation I am working on right now! If I succeed I shall have to write about it.

The muffin top one almost made me spray my drink Debs!
Mmm, cupcakes.
Speaking as former muffin top and now pound cake, I loved everyone of these! I also love the person AM am too :)
Hahaha! I have developed a tummy and it won't go away no matter how many low fat cookies I eat! :)
These are funny!

My muffin top insists on being an ever-expanding donut shop. Well, donuts are better than muffins anyway.
Thank you for all the affirming memes. Sigh.
Happy, healthy, enjoyable New Year, Debra and yours.
I love these. It is good to eat healthy. But it is also good to eat enjoyable things, at least some of the time.

Love the diet cartoons.
You're right. Cookies DON'T do that.
Yes, I want to eat healthy and lose weight too. These memes are hilarious.
:D Love, cat.
Deb, I hear you and I love you! We can do this together!! Big Hugs!
I'm still laughing about the pound cake! LOL!
These are hilarious! My two faves are the wagon and the eggs.

When we moved to Maryland over 50 years ago, I saw a sign at a farm: "Pick your own kale." I'm not sure why we're still here, but we are.
I know you are trying to eat healthier, but there is an awful lot of lettuce in that salad.
Bread is not good for you? Then what are you suppose to put your mayonnaise on?
the Ol'Buzzard
I read that first one in the gutter.
I like a good salad--after I drown it with ranch dressing and bury it with bacon bits
Ha! I can totally relate... ;) Bon Appetit! xoxo
True, every one. I laughed and laughed. Out loud, most of the time.
I must agree with Lisa Simpson on this one... and I have never met a carbohydrate I didn't like, no matter the time of day!

I just enjoy food...smaller portion is key word for me
May the New Year turn out to be the happiest and the best for you!
you know how the find the best
Sarah Millican says she doesn’t have a muffin top; she has a cake shelf.
You have nailed it again Debra!
May you continue to be a shining light in 2020.
Much love

These are the best! I don't see anything wrong with the salad with bacon bits. Am I supposed to?
Happy New Year to you and good for you for eating healthier!
Elsie
Yep. It's the age-old tale of liking to eat more than exercise. :)
OMG..They all hit home..I thought the first one was great but they all got better..Thanks..I think!!
LOL, love them all. I've bookmarked this for whenever I need a good laugh :-)
Wonderful! So many made me laugh. I long for the 90s again too. As for quinoa ...
Too funny. Great collection.

Love it!
Thin mints were always my favorite! I could eat a box in a sitting in my younger days. Happy New Year Debra!
I have made my peace with Kale ... don't love it. I would prefer a salad like your 'bacon bits' !
You are so funny. I love the third one. Happy 2020.
Get yourself a brand new computer - apart from it scrambling your brain, the weight falls off big time.
HAHAHA! Loved these. So hilarious!
Well I do exercise 6 or 7 days a week. It makes me feel good and for 67 I am fit. I wanted to thank you for the comment about the rage. I cracked up.
These all speak to me on a deep level. lol

See, I moved that period back a word, so my new years resolution was to eat. Mischief managed. :D
