Hello Debra, In the olden days people had to invent beings like Krampus to scare people and keep them in line. Now we realize that what we really have to fear are not supernatural creatures, but actual people who have taken on monstrous qualities. --Jim
🤔 I spent Thanksgiving catching up on some xmas movies I had never seen...like "Red One." Fun story of Santa's security team and a chance to look at Chris Evans, a lot! 🥰 But, its softening of Krampus made me sad. If everybody is nice and nobody, even Krampus, is seriously naughty we will live in a world of monotony. 🥱 Ennui (one of my favorite words) is no fun at all. So, yah, Krampus, real Krampus, is my boo!! 👹💝
@ Cleora Borealis -- I guess Disney didn't want to scare the wee ones. I should watch that movie this holiday season -- despite being a big Chris Evans fan, I haven't seen it yet. Whenever he's not Captain America, I just kind of lose interest. Krampus will probably haul me away for that.
My old neighbors celebrated Halloween and Krampus. They decorated their living room with Krampus themed things. Kind of creepy but the kids were into zombies at the time so it made sense.
I saw some Krampus parades on YT and they were pretty cool!
Thank you precious friend Debra for introducing another winter festival from other countries 🤗 It’s understandable how quiet and cold nights would push humans imagination further and create such monsters
Krampus will have to sue the squatter at 1600 Pennsylvania for steaking his schtick https://www.pocho.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/trumpusanimated.gif
In Germany it´s called "St. Nicholas Day" and it is today, Dec 6th. Once I nearly stepped on a chocolate one a friendly neighbor placed on our footmat...
Krampus has been on my list for a few years now. I've finally drawn him and my festive webcomic is a Krampus story - he even features on my annual Yule card.
Just a quick follow up: Portland had it's Krampus Lauf this past weekend. Costumed revelers dancing and making eerie music and parading down Hawthorne Blvd. I love living here...

Hello Debra,
Well, we have never heard of Krampus....until now!
We should certainly not want to be whisked away by Krampus and can only imagine what fate would await us.
Yes, a devious cat would be the perfect assistant...those feline friends know exactly how to get their own way.
Hahaha
This absolutely tracks!
XOXO
Grumpus - too funny :)
Love the Grumpy Cat parody cartoon.
Krampus will need a bigger bag when she visits 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
...new to me!

Krampus is scary as hell, but that last meme made me laugh!
I hope Krampus made a very long visit to 1600 Penn Ave.

I think someone in the US has been stealing all the naughtiness and not leaving any for anyone else.

Did you see the movie? It wasn't terrible.
@ The Happy Whisk -- Oh, I'd forgotten there is a Krampus movie! No, I haven't seen it.
Krampus is a very ugly dude. I don't want him visiting me.
Love,
Janie
From a few of these it looks like Krampus might be into a little S&M.
Happy Krampusnacht! Sadly, I have not been naughty. (Not that I’d want a visit from Krampus, but naughty can be nice.)

'You - In the bag!' Ha!
Ha! Speaks to how all things require a balanced perspective.
I love Krampus. I need to go find a Krampus monster romance now to read. LOL
I learnt Krampus from the movie Champaign problem on Netflix recently

It's not bad. Lemme look up the actress.....Hmm, I don't see it on my Netflix. It wasn't terrible though.
Dear friend Debra, Grumpus the cat made me laugh! :)

Grumpus is too cute, but Krumpus is really scary. I learn so much from you, Debra!
