Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke in Davos, Switzerland about how middle powers such as Canada will have to adapt to face the rupture in the global system:
"We are engaging broadly, strategically, with open eyes. We actively take on the world as it is, not wait for the world as we wish it to be. The old order is not coming back. We should not mourn it. Nostalgia is not a strategy. But from the fracture, we can build something better, stronger, and more just."
IMHO, NADA and the northern lights should be on stand-by anyway, just in case, LOL!
@ Tundra Bunny -- Yes, I listened to Carney's full Davos speech. I agree with everything he said and every strategy he outlined for middle powers to adopt. Canada, Europe, and the free world still need to prepare for pain, though. I hope everyone is up for it.
@ CAAZ -- Sabre rattling is always scary. The best thing we can do is follow the old British WW2 advice "Keep calm and carry on." And deal with reality if and when it materializes.
