@ Barbara Rogers -- I believe she lived in what is now Belgium. Needless to say, she is HRH the Cat's favourite saint and I must do a post on her some day!
These were great. Happy St. Patrick's day! I must say the name sign got me. I worked with some Irish folks and their names always stumped me. Well if being honest so did their accent. I told my boss I wish for closed caption under his chin when he spoke.
As a child, I would have loved to live in Ireland, because I was the only redhead for miles around in Vienna. (Besides, I like sheep. And sheepdogs. And green meadows.) But I'm glad I'm not called Saoirse. I read that people gave their newborn daughter that name because they liked the name Saoirse Ronan so much in the credits of some movie—only they always pronounced it wrong...🤪🙈 🍀 Happy St. Patrick's Day 🍀 Traude
Hahaha OMG I lost it at the names!!! Also, it was MADNESS downtown Chicago this past weekend. I was in town for a conference and it was shenanigans up and down every street.
I'm surprised, nay SHOCKED, that HRH would submit so easily to such a knitted humiliation... tiaras don't come cheap, eh? Happy Saint Patrick's Day, Karen, er, Debra!
@ Tundra Bunny -- This is how my SORE LOSER HUMAN took her REVENGE on me for MY WIN in the VALENTINES DAY HATEFEST POETRY CONTEST last month. WHAT A MONSTER SHE IS!!!!!! Can I come live with you?
Those Irish names! So funny. And I am so grateful I am a "Kay" and not a "Karen". Such a good name really! Just another thing folks starting saying that makes me scratch my head.
:) Monsieur Dupuis 🇨🇦
I really don't get the fuss. So many non-Irish claiming ancestry from way back, especially across the Atlantic. Trouble is the fake celebration is spreading and we have celebrations over here now.

...have a happy one.
I wear Orange on St. Patrick's Day. There is some history behind that has political and religious significance.
Have a great Paddy’s day!
I'm a quarter Irish that must count for something?
The two cats one cracked me up. I'll have a corned beef and cabbage dinner tonight with some ale for dinner me dear.
Such a fun and festive post! Love the cheerful spirit, perfect reminder to enjoy the day and celebrate in good company. www.melodyjacob.com
Flashback memories to six-years ago in Ireland.
The four-leaf clover, poison ivy cross... GROAN. (But OK I chuckled.)
No groan for Danny Boy’s phone call. I loved that one!
Happy St. Gerturde's Day - patron saint of cats! Not sure if she was Irish though!
Green also here 🐸 ...enjoy it 🦖☘️
These are great. Thanks for the smiles and giggles this morning.
I've got my corned beef cooked and sliced. Tonight I will reheat half of it and cook cabbage, potatoes, and carrots in the defatted broth.
Happy st Patrick's Day from this granddaughter of Tipperary!
Karen deserves the barf!!
Love the four leaf clover and the leprechauns!
I may or may not have some Irish in me but mostly I just like corned beef and cabbage. And soda bread.
Porta Paddy, and the clover... LOL.
Happy St. Paddy's!

Too funny. The pipes, the pipes are calling....
I told Jack this morning that his last name is Irish and he was terribly impressed.
Happy St Patrick's day to you, Debra. Thanks for the laughs.

I'm half Irish. My Nan could speak Gaeilge and when I was younger could say a few words. Love the memes today. Have a happy St. Patrick's Day.
Happy St Patrick's Day.

The one about Danny Boy made me spit my green beer.
I love the Clover Rash of Good Luck. Really tickled me.
@ Her Royal Highness -- Sorry, no can do, I'm allergic to cats... can't you just pee on her keyboard?
Thanks for the giggles!
I am mostly Irish and the Irish don't celebrate St Patties day. Oh well.
Thank you for all of these. The pipes 😂
The pipes be callin... ROFL!
I'm with the last cat! And St. Patrick was Welsh, to be sure, to be sure.
I miss this yesterday. Hope you had a great day.
