I'd love to have the Lego set of this painting, it would be so much fun to put together and display!

All so good, but the last one wins!

These are such fun, and I had to sit and enjoy so many of them for a while.

...Snoopy and Woodstock are the prize.

I bet Vincent would be amazed to see he created an entire industry!

Love the ones with the cats in them! Good question in the last one... ;-)

Agreed all great but the last one, my thoughts exactly.

All right. These are the best. Every one of them is my favorite. "I live in a Van Gogh down by the river." Oh dear Lord yes.
The Van Gogh eye. The cats who live in a Van Gogh world. All perfect.

Okay, I now have Don Mclean singing in my head. Vincent, not a bad earworm. Loved all of these.

I love these, Debra. Still smiling. ;-)

These are all terrific, but my fave was Van Gogh's cat! The eye painting is cool, but the iris should've been Van Gogh's "Irises" instead of "Starry Night", IMHO.

Van Gogh struck a chord that is still resonating today. How lucky we are to still enjoy his work all these years later.
That last one... yes, how indeed?

Liam Ryan said...

Lovely, and a thoughtful line by van gogh.
Its interesting how much people love his night skies.

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Anonymous -- You're right! How clever!

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ e -- Yes, how indeed? "It's a mystery!"

These were SO good, but then that question!!!!

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Tundra Bunny -- Well, it worked well enough to make that clever comment!

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Mike -- Enough to keep him high for DAYS.

These were all so cute. Couldn't pick just one.

These are great, Debra! Love Van Gogh's cat and the question at the end is hilarious!

He may have grown his ear back, but no gold-crusted ballroom will ever equal "The Starry Night."

Omg, a van Gogh by the river!!!!!!! I need a tattoo that says that, lol.

All beautiful. I like the Van Gogh Down by the River, and I saved the Snoopy and Woodchuck one to make into a bookmark.

I LOVE this post. Van Gogh is my all time favorite artist and of your posted pictures my fav is, of course, Van Gogh's Cat :) ... acturally all of the cats. Then there is the projection on the sky, another awesome piece. And the Eye ... perfection. And in answer to the last question ... I pretty sure he didn't :) This was awesome ... 😁Thank you, you made my day :)

Dear Debra, I am not a big fan of Van Gogh....as I prefer Claude Monet, however, I really like all these paintings! And the Van Gogh's Cat made me laugh out loud!
I do very much love the song Starry, Starry Night, though. It is a beautiful song! So sad that this artist struggled with depression. I can totally understand depression, because I myself struggle with it, as you know.
Thank you so much for being a light, dear friend.

I love Van Gogh, and all your finds with references to him, but you definitely left the best for last!

Not only is it interesting to imagine if Mr. V ever dreamed his art would be so cherished but it would be the source of so many cartoons?
