Lawyer Up!

Well, this seems to be my week
for poking gentle fun
at the professions!

This post is, of course, dedicated to
everyone's favourite blogging lawyer,

You know who really knows
how to use the legal system
to its full effect?

Cats!

Oh, thought I couldn't work
superheroes into this post?

Think again!

At the Shrink's

This post is, of course, dedicated to
everyone's favourite blogging shrink,
Dr. Spo of Spo-Reflections!

The pandemic has been hard on us all --

Oh, thought I couldn't work
superheroes into this post?

Think again!

And to conclude,
here's one for
all of us bloggers!

Who Doesn't Love Pasta?

All hail the Pasta Goddess!

Ain't this the truth?

There's an easy way to have a pasta meal . . .

. . . and a hard way. You choose.

Don't forget the cheese!
What kind is best?

Yes! Make Gordon Ramsay cry!

And speaking of chefs --

Oh no! I can't stop at
just one meme of bad puns!

Well, you can't say
I didn't warn you!

Thursday Art Date With Rain -- "May Sweets"

Rain's weekly Art Date has a baking theme all this month.

And it just so happens that one of my
very favourite fruits to bake with is blueberries

So thanks, Rain, your prompt has inspired me
to finally complete my one remaining
unfinished assignment from the
"Art of Coloured Pencils" class
which I took in the Fall of 2019.

This is where I left off way back then --

A total of 8 different Prismacolor pencils
brought these blueberries to life.

Here's the finished piece --

So what did I do with all those blueberries?

Baked a blueberry crostata, of course!

Mmmmmm, SO delicious!

My Rare One put on
her OWN whipped cream,
thank you very much --

It's World Labyrinth Day!

I miss regularly walking a labyrinth. The Riverdale Labyrinth, my favourite local one, ceased operations a couple of years ago and I haven't adopted a new one yet. Now that nice weather is here again, I should drive around Edmonton and see if any of the outdoor labyrinths are still maintained and available for walking.

I've been walking both Pagan and Christian labyrinths since 1997. This spiritual practice of "walking meditation" appeals to me. Over the years, I've walked many labyrinths in western Canada, England and Maui. I hope to walk many more!

To celebrate World Labyrinth Day, here's some photos courtesy of the internet --

Creating a labyrinth by light projection -- how clever!

This next one is my favourite -- how gorgeous! I hope it's not just photoshopped.
