Hello Debra, These are all great, and I remember those corny jokes, e.g.,

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road twice?
A: Because he was a double-crosser.

...age old indeed! Thanks for the chuckles.

I believe the first one is the correct one.

I love the zen saying approach.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Because she could.

Love the collection, chickens are neat birds,

HA!

I have never seen a chicken crossing the road. Even the flocks of wild chickens in Hawaii seemed to have a healthy respect for the asphalt.

Those are great, but I relate to the last one myself!

Mitchell - that's perfect! Lol.

When I was a kid our chickens got out a lot and they loved to cross the road. I thought it was just to make my life harder as the chicken wrangler.

I thought the age old question was "how long is a piece of string?"

Love these.
(I once hit a prairie chicken crossing the road and it did more damage to my car than another time when I hit a deer. Chickens don't mess around, haha.)

I don't knowwww... Half price beer? He would have to cash out, get up, say goodbyes to everyone, cross the street, find a new place to sit, start a new tab, hope he knew someone... I think he just stayed where he was.

I wonder if Doug Savage is related to alternative newspaper sex advice columnist Dan Savage of Savage Love fame, but that's neither here nor there because my favorite in John Atkinson's media frenzy explanation.

Chickens, what can be said about them?? Good Meme choices. I like the chicken poetry reading.

My grandmother had chickens. I was so scared of them. They used to chase me when I went in the backyard.

@ Kirk -- Doug Savage is a Canadian cartoonist and, given that Dan Savage is American, I doubt if they are closely related but, back in the mists of genealogical history, who knows?

Because she could, of course.

All good, but I especially liked the first and last ones. It's good to start the day with a smile and a laugh, thanks for providing that.

Oh My Gawd, these are all a hoot! Our favorite is the very first one, but the Washington's Crossing one is awesome as well since we live only minutes north of the actual Washington's Crossing!
