EMBROIDERERS,
TO THE BARRICADES!
But first, a nice crocheted
BAGEL SMORG lunch!
And then some FOREST BATHING --
Put on your GLASSES . . .
. . . and then make yourself
a warm (and smart) WINTER HAT!
I LOVE this Avengers quilt, natch.
Look how the quilt stitching incorporates
the symbols of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, etc.
Now THAT'S attention to detail!
And speaking of QUILTERS --

Very cool! I, however, learned a long time ago that I put the "p" in "Craft".
Great stuff -- and I see a familiar one there! Embroidery is subversive, always has been.
WAUDE 😳 Are you really made all these unbelievable gorgeous crochets? Love them all 🥰
...are you a fat quarter girl?
That is absolutely brilliant.
Those are all amazing ... I mean, bagels???
I would love more time to indulge in my hobbies and crafts, I love pyrography but don't get the opportunity often in indulge. I love working with wood and would like to get to try out other crafts.
These works are brilliant! The bagels are in incredible.
This is great fun. A member of our local arts group is an obsessed quilter.
Hello Debra, That amazing crafter who did the bagels forgot to make blobs of cream cheese. Other than that, I hope they won some kind of prize for this display.

@ sirkkis -- Alas, no, the crochet work is not mine, I found these photos on the internet. But clearly a Master Crocheter made them!
@ Tom -- Alas, no, I'm not a quilter. But I love seeing beautiful quilts!
These are all great, but I'm in love with the fox glasses holder.
Amazing, and I love that video. Fat quarter girls, too funny.
These are all great! I wish I was more crafty.
🫡 Thanks for teaching me a new word, Captain! When I was young, I would hang out in my Dad's workshop while he built stuff out of wood and I would burn stuff into wood. I never knew I was a pyrographer! I feel much more artistic now!! 👩🎨
🥰 Loved the song and, oh, Debra, you made me so nostalgic for my Grammy!
She did it all! Every guest towel (don't actually use them; they're for show!) in our big family was a work of embroidery art from Grammy. She had a small business selling embroidered, personalized ring pillows to boutique wedding stores in KC. Gorgeous keepsakes! 👰♀️
She often had her quilting frame up in her living room. Every stitch by hand; she never owned a sewing machine!
But, her crocheting skills were next level! She would crochet queen-size coverlets of nursery rhymes; illustrations included! I remember making my bed (when and if I did) with a a dark blanket and arranging the ecru nursery rhyme coverlet on top of it...just stunning and easily readable!! ❤️🧵🪡🪢
Harmless hobby, that cracked me up. The donuts and fruit are sooooooooo cute. LOVE trees, so that cross stitch really called out to me. Have been enjoying visiting everyone on my blog list to catch up, as it's been too many months since I've blogged. Feels good to get back into it.
I LOVE these. I forgot how much I love cross stitch. I'll have to see if my poor old eyes can still see those tiny holes. The crochet food is adorable and I love the quilt making but alas those are not part of my craft skills either. Dany I need a bigger house so I can have more craft stuff.
I love these and it is so true.
Impressive work! There are amazing needle artists out there, and I don't mean tattoo!
@ Cleora Borealis -- A true artist! Every stitch made with love too!
Very creative... I admire this works.
My hobby was/is cooking. NOT harmless. I’m at least 40 pounds overweight.
Saved a couple to send to my daughter. The Light in the World is so good.
That is the excellence of handcraft
Codex: Have you seen the crochet coral reef?
@ Anonymous (Codex) -- Thanks to your comment, I've seen it now! What a stunning project and work of art! Here's a link for other interested readers: https://crochetcoralreef.org/
Oh my goodness, those are great.
What a fun variety! I've done some quilting but I have never bought any fat quarters!
Marveling at human creativity...I need that brain toque!
Now I have to find Fat Bottom Girls and listen to it 10 or 20 times.
Uh . . . gee.
The crocheted items are fantastic! I always wanted to learn how to knit & crochet and have tried, but just couldn't get the knack. So quilting turned out to be my not so harmless hobby... sadly, though, fabric has become too expensive now for anything bigger than wall hangings or baby quilts.
So many hobbies...so little time!
The crocheted brain beanie is... disturbing!
Clever! I wished I had thought of that.
How gorgeous...so creative!
Love the quilting song, Debra!
Those bagels look too much like the real thing. I could see where I'd end up with a mouth full of yarn.
LOL, that was a fun video and I loved the crocheted smorgasbord, so clever.
Crocheted food! Now I've seen everything! (Excpet The Titanic movie)
Wow! Now, ***that's*** quilting. Lot of work and it turned out beautiful.
Love all of these! I'm a quilter and my daughter is a knitter so we both have huge stashes of future projects...
Embroidery and cross stitch are an opportunity to repeatedly stab things, eh? Very therapeutic!
Love love love the video clip. So many clever people out there.
I wonder if someone could do the same with knitting and crocheting
Thanks for the giggle
