Moms

The Divine Feminine as Mother Goddess has been an important spiritual image since time immemorial. She Who Gives Life is a universal part of all our own personal stories too. So I'm off to Manitoba to visit my Mom in the nursing home for a few days now. I'll see you all again on New Year's Eve!

I'd say something about going to Manitoba in December but then you are coming from northern Alberta. Could be a balmy holiday down on Portage and Main for an Edmonton gal!

I always love visiting my mom. I don't care if it makes me a mama's boy. She's a pretty cool lady. Hope you have a great time with her!

Not only am I blessed to be a mom but I don't know what I would have done without my mother since my father passed. They have been divorced for over 25 years and it was not pretty. She has cleaned out his house and met with the real estate agent on numerous times for me.

Thank you for such a wonderful post

Hello Debra,
I hope you have a very good visit with your Mom. Lots of love and happy moments to you both.

I am very lucky to be a Mom to an incredible young man. (I'm not biased, not at all. ;-) He did so many wonderfully kind things for me this holiday season. These are the best things I've ever received because they came from his heart and his childhood and our special times we spent together while he was growing up. Being a Mom has been the most incredibly wonderful journey I've ever been on.

My Mom has also been there for me through thick and thin and I don't know what I would have done without her, either. I'm at her house now curled up in a bathrobe sitting up in bed catching up on my friend's blogs. Sister is in town and we're all together laughing, eating (way too much) and having a good time so far.

Brightest blessings to you and your Mom,
Bird

Give your mom many hugs!

And see if she knows who bleached the Mother and Child! At this rate they'll soon disappear!!!

yeah, started out, god/goddess as equals, til some asshole priests decided to ban the goddess, mostly cuz they could not fathom the mysteries of motherhood... go figger!

hope mama's doing well....
