Miscellany of Horror

Yeah, pretty tame, I know, but I'm not much of a horror buff. Sorry.

Death by cucumbers? After hearing all these years that vegetarians live longer?

You're in it for the punkins, I surmise. So would I, if I were.

I don’t know, leaches are creepy enough. Especially a jar of them.

That looks just like our leeches urn!

What the heck was she doing to that Cucumber?

I love this time of year, creepy stuff especially :)

Lol. I’d like to see the story about the cucumber death.

Leeches were used by the Egyptians many centuries ago, and now they are used once again in our hospitals today - what goes around, comes around again.

I started a Horror Story on Netflix today. At the first scary scene, i said, what am I doing? And turn the darn thing off.

The fourth one looks a bit like my mother after she realises she’s run out and of gin.

It's always about the night: no vampire move ever had the vampire hunter entering the vampire's lair at noon, it is always just as the sun is going down.

I;ve always loved scary movies even as a little girl. The ones I saw almmost every Sat were Frankenstein, The Mummy, Dracula, Wolfman...and we would get so scared, we'd fall down in the floor behind the seats....
I still love scary movies and like your first photo, I am not so scared during the day, but....I don't watch many of them at night.
What IS it about the dark that scares the pants off us???

Tame is good... I was in one of those fly-by-night Halloween stores a couple years ago and it was very gory.. This is my favorite time of year but that's because of the temperatures and the changing leaves.. Feels better than hot and sticky!! I am into comfort.. Enjoy your weekend

Hope you are doing well. Stay spook-safe! xo Diana

It's a shame things only seem to go bump in the night. Who wants to work the 12 hr. night shift for eternity.

Leeches are being used again in medicine I understand ...

I read your matzo story. Nice one. Maybe they'll come back to haunt you.

I'm not really a fan of horror but am fascinated by the paranormal.

mshatch said...

I agree with the Captain. Horror has to be clever for me to enjoy it.

Tame? Corpses biting men in uniform? May the screaming gods protect us of your untamed horror posts!

Miss Val's Creations said...

It is funny about the first one. Things are just creepier at night!

SmitoniusAndSonata said...

Did someone mention leeches?? I thought it was all about pumpkin soup and chocolate.....

Guillaume said...

That is pretty funny, and I am a horror buff.

This is almost tame enough to be my level of horror appreciation. I just don't like it!

Loved the beautiful leech jar, though.

Cucumbers? I love cucumbers! Oh no! LOL!

Fundy Blue said...

The scariest one of all was the leeches. I am terrified of leeches and won't go near water suspected to have them.
