I love the furry bears. Somewhere here recently a mama bear and babies decided to swim in someone's pool!!! It was the cutest ever. Mama had a tough time as one of the babies didn't want to get out.

Hahaha
OMG I have no idea what I'd do if I ever see a bear. Especially one pondering if he'll jump off a bridge.

XOXO

I so agree with the last one!

I saw my first wild black bear in Canada - it crossed over the road in front of us. My brother, who lives in Canada has never seen one, and was very envious of us.

That last one slayed.

That's me with parking. I can do it fine - until someone watches.

One of my bucket list items was seeing a bear in the wild (the four legged variety - not the sweet bear variety.) I was driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway, cars were stopping, I pulled over stopped, looked over, grabbed the camera and as I was stepping out of the car said, this might be a really bad idea, I got a couple of bad shots before the bear disappeared into the trees.

The day I nearly walked into a bear's butt was funny. No photos. I was picking berries in my neighbor's forest and wondered why there was a black pony or cow ahead of me in the berry patch.
It was a bear that just walked away.

Love the tent one!

If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

These are the best!!
We have bears in our 'hood. (Florida, for heavens sakes!) My neighbor had one in her garage a few months ago...so I'm keeping my eyes out for a visit.
Laughing so hard about the "hot pockets"!

We had a bear come through our camping site in Yosemite about seventeen years ago. I think our screaming, teething granddaughter scared the living crap out of it, cuz it was beating feet outta there! I'm on board with the gummy one, naturally. Loved them all.

We're going on a bear hunt. We're not scared.

We get lack bears wandering around in June, young males in search of territory. You don't picnic your lunch at local workplaces with outdoor benches, lakes etc. Too much competition.

Some true lolz here, Debra! Loved the hot pockets and the gummy bears. The quick and the dead. Har! And the rest, tbh. Great selection.

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! "Killed by bears and leave it at that." That's me.

Quinley said...

I love the gummy bears joke, it would sound way more dramatic to be killed by a bear than by gummy bears.

Also this reminds me of the line from Shakespeare "exit pursued by a bear."

AHAHAHAHAHA!

Whatever you do in the forest, DON'T take Mike's Hard Lemonade with you... I've seen camper trailers ripped apart like tin cans by black, brown and cinnamon bears looking for that stuff! Polar bears and grizzlies, on the other hand, don't like liquor with their human hamburgers...

Never was into bears but I have wanted to eat a twinkie

Caution in the St. Louis area too. We have black bears back in Missouri and they like to wander through the suburbs.

Forsythia said...

And to think that we take little stuffed replicas of these fierce beasts to bed with us, many of them wearing cute little raincoats, plaid bows, pinafores. . ..

Richard said...

Funny! Bears put the awe back in awesome. But the few times i have been in grizzly bear country i have been cautious and a little nervous. Bears are also scary when you visit them at home.
Thanks, Tundra Bunny, for the tip about Mike's hard lemonade!

Poor bear who missed the yummy salmon!

You have an amazing sense of dark humour. There is so much about bears that I am becoming a fan of bears!

I love bears, but this is as close as I want to get to them.

These are great. That's me with the gummy bears. My most serious university girlfriend (nearly married her, gasp) used to sing that song to me quite often.

What? No Yogi Bear, who's better than the average bear? And no picnic baskets? I'm so disappointed. :D

The bear waving at the top is so cute! They are fun beasts to observe...from a distance.

Rawknrobyn.blogspot.com said...

I can't think of another animal that can simultaneously pull off both innocence and threatening venom so well. Maybe it's Yogi's fault.

Cheers and stay safe and well, Debra.

And here I thought working at a convenience store late at night, you only had to worry about stickup men.

BAHAHAHAHA! These were fabulous. Who knew there was so much wonderful bear humour around!

While watching "keep Breathing" on Netflix when girl found bear on remote island it was hard to imagine whether she was more afraid or excited but it reminded me at once that I was frightened and excited both when I had seen bear with a man who was holding his robe and wandered in village to collect coins from parents of kids who had gathered around the creature fondly.

Rommy said...

I think you're dead on about guys fantasizing about that scenario. :D

I love bears. And have actually seen a mother and cubs from a distance. Black bears are usually not dangerous. My friend's sister routinely picks berries in the same bush as a black bear. They ignore each other.
I followed Grizzly 399 with her four cubs at age 25. They are two now and should be booted to find their own way. People who try to get selfies with grizzly bears fall into the same category as those who try to get selfies with bison. Not bright.

Where do you get these amazing ones?! Loved each of them.

The bear looks fine. I hope this summer isn't too hot for them.

I've chocked on a few bears in my life but happily have lived to tell the tale. Next time I chew them more thoughtfully.
