February Full Moon Post

I'm not in a position to do a
Full Moon Altar this month so
instead, here's a post of lovely
moon imagery celebrating
all the phases of the moon.

The waxing crescent moon
(corresponding to the Maiden aspect
of the Divine Feminine) --

The full moon (corresponding to the
Mother aspect of the Divine Feminine) --

The waning crescent moon
(corresponding to the Crone aspect
of the Divine Feminine) --

I absolutely love under the bridge and the reflection in the water to create a crescent moon that is awesome! I like the last image too. I love looking at the moon's on nights especially when it's a fingernail or crescent moon. And of course I also enjoy a full moon!

Gorgeous images. That bridge one is amazing.

Not in a position to do an altar this month? I hope you are doing okay, and that the absence is because you were making art and attending to your harem as opposed to being incapacitated.

i agree...the bridge is amazing but i love them all.

@ Old Lurker -- Don't worry, just a temporary glitch. I'll have a Full Moon Altar again next month. And my harem? -- I wish, LOL!

Glad to hear nothing ominous is holding up this month's altar. These are great images especially the Oreo take on the phases of the moon.

Glad to read you are doing well, the cat and your readers need you. I love the images, I should bake that pie.

These are so magical. Under the bridge is stunning. And how kind of the tower of Pisa. OREO eclipse genius, too! I love the thought that you do not have to be whole in order to shine.

You really have astonishing mind and imagination dear Debra 😍
All choice nailed the topic awesomely ❤
The pizza tower and the quote "You don't have to be whole in order to shine"
Are amazing.
LOVED it ❤

Fabulous post. I love the photo of the full moon Mother aspect. It draws me in. Have a nice day today.

These are wonderful and I agree with everything Mitchell said.

I love where I live but I do miss seeing more of the sky, the stars and the moon. It's so often cloudy! We have to drive east for a couple of hours for good night sky viewing.

Cheers!

Some beautiful images. The moon is always beautiful no matter what stage she’s at

Thank you internet and Debra for all of these photos. Absolutely awesome. Over the moon, you might say. Definitely not crestfallen.

Is that you in the castle doorway? 😄

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Mike -- I wish it were! That is St Michael's Tower on top of Glastonbury Tor in England. However, I did climb the Tor in 2009 and stood in the Tower then.

That second last photo is a beauty!

This, that, and the other thing,I will let the moon do her thing. You already heard about what happened to Actaeon.

This makes a nice change from your usual altar format -- that moon phase cherry pie looks yummy! And I always do my stargazing while sitting on a waning moon.... I hope you're not suggesting that I am an old crone too, LOL!

@ Tundra Bunny -- I knew you'd like that rabbit one!

If you're going to talk about shiny holes, you will need to change this to an adult blog :-P

The oreo and the pie are brilliant. Kudos to whomever.
Do you remember Walter de la Mare's "Silver"? slowly siloently not the moon walks the night in her silver shoon...

@ The Blog Fodder -- I remember reading something by Walter de la Mare, but not that poem. I'll have to check it out!

Being a Cancer I am quite fond of the moon and watch it waxing and waning; I have an app that announces the moment it is new and full.

I always thought it was neat that Japanese people thought rabbits lived on the moon

Love the Oreo cookie photo! I don't know about you, but I find affirmations done on a New Moon more effective than on a Full Moon.
