Call me old old fashioned but "GAY" used to be all-inclusive. Or we can get with the times and use: QUILTBAG: Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Trans (Transgender/Transexual), Bisexual, Asexual, and/or Gay. But that leaves out Pan-sexuals and Incels and heterosexuals too.
@ Frank -- Yes, "gay" started off as a generic term but unfortunately, gay men made it clear that only their interests and concerns mattered in the community, so that's when everyone else realized it could not truly be an inclusive term.
Thanks for teaching me what "Quilt Bag" means! There's a queer store here in Edmonton called "The Quilt Bag" and I always wondered why it was called that -- d'oh!
😃 Frank and Debra, my day will be brightened by your encouragement to play with words and acronyms! So far, I consider myself HAPPY! Helpful Ally of Precious People Yaz!! 😁✊️💪🌈

...may you enjoy a rainbow day, Debra.
I like queer; it used to have a derogatory tone and we've taken it back.
Besides, I AM weird. And gay. So ... queer.
Queer is so normal. We are all unique, and that is normal.
Queer isn’t negative any more but normal!
Lasagne and garlic bread 😁👍
The LGBT sandwich could do with a little quinoa on the side or maybe some quince.
@ Yorkshire Pudding -- Oh, I see what you did there, clever guy!
El Jibbity Kia.
I never used to feel comfortable with the word queer but over the last 10 years I’ve embraced it.
LGBT sandwich yum!

@ Gidget Blue Sky -- I'm not surprised because you are a master of creative language yourself!
@ Cleora Borealis -- Oh, that's a GOOD ONE!
love that sandwich!
Very good explanations. LOL
Codex: I use the gays. It's easier.
After reading your post title I think I will always think of those four letters as "El Jibbity"
@ Kathy G -- Me too! I laughed so hard when I first saw this phrase and figured out what it meant!
I've been eating LGBT sandwiches and didn't even realize it. lol
I don't know if the sandwich could include Q - Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, Tomato and Quince??
True, when I hear this term a BLT comes to mind.
@ Lady M -- Another vote for quince!
Here's a recipe for an LGBTQ Sandwich from this month's Games Magazine: lettuce, guacamole, bacon, tomato and queso on toasted bread... enjoy!
This made me think.
@ Tundra Bunny -- I like queso! And "toasted" bread? Hmmm, that supports a couple of different interpretations, LOL.
