Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Even though our Thanksgiving gatherings
must be small this year (immediate family only
is recommended), don't let Covid-19
spoil this holiday for you!

We can still enjoy
a ridiculously yummy meal!

Whether you dine on traditional turkey . . .

. . . or its vegetarian alternative . . .

. . . be sure to have some pumpkin pie for dessert!

And remember the Reason for the Season!

I LOVE the one with the sign on the back. Both of my kids had part time jobs in a busy grocery store and can both relate to that one! Hope you had / have a good Thanksgiving. We celebrated yesterday with a very small gathering around the table. -Jenn

First things first: I like his sign and his jeans...
Second: Happy Thanksgiving! I don't know if we are going to celebrate, TBH. I really don't want to be around too many people, even if they're family!

XOXO

Now THAT'S a vegetarian turkey that even a carnivore like me could enjoy, as opposed to a tofu turkey [insert retching sounds here]... Only 73 more days until Turkey Aspic!

Happy Thanksgiving, darlin!
That veggie turkey tray looked so yummy. I should try making my veggie tray look like that this year. Every turkey day I make a veggie tray with carrots, celery, cucumber slices, peppers, and pickles. I also make a big fruit tray with bite-sized chunks of watermelon, apple, pear, pineapple, and seedless green grapes. I try to keep it as healthy as possible.

Happy Thanksgiving! The second one is priceless. Ask me about it.

We often used to have tourtière for Thanksgiving. Oh and I always preferred Canadian Thanksgiving, it made more sense to me to celebrate in October.

Busy day here, just getting around to blogs...hope your day was festive! Thanksgiving was/is my favorite holiday: lots of food - good home cooking, no church, no presents, no gaudy decorations.

Oh, that poor turkey with the temperature forecast! Have a good holiday. We don’t have that festival here. Do you think the White House will hav3 it’s traditional ceremony of pardoning a turkey this year?

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Sue Bursztynski -- Are you referring to the conspiracy theory that Trump will resign before the election rather than be seen to lose it, and then will have acting-president Pense give him a pardon for any criminal offences while in office? I think it's a possibility, LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving! I have succumbed to the elastic waist band! Love the sign on the guys back LOL..Cool veggie plate...

We don't have Thanksgiving, turkey is purely a Christmas affair. Local turkey farmers have stopped fattening up our Christmas turkeys because we will probably only be allowed 6 people around the table (we have the rule of 6).

Happy belated Thanksgiving.

That giant Turkey may indeed be destroying a city. But perhaps he has actually defeated the giant monster has actually destroyed the city.

I looove that food plate turkey arrangement idea !!!

Richard said...

Haha That Can't Be Right was funny.

Richard said...

I gotta reply to our friend sue bursztynski.
He won't go near a turkey, let alone pardon one. He doesn't participate in our rituals. People tried to tell him but no, he's DJT. Remember when he went for that photo-op with an eagle and it tried to bite him?
I been worried about how to dispose of that carcass, when the time finally comes. I don't want to defile water. I don't want to use fire and i don't want him in the ground. Maybe we can just shoot him full of formaldehyde and he can be our first Space Force test body. Sorry for the rough language.
I know that this is supposed to be a more light hearted place.

Sue Bursztynski said...

Debra, no, I hadn’t heard that conspiracy theory. I was just referring to the tradition. He must have pardoned three turkeys by now, yes?

Richard, the Parsees put their dead out for the vultures for precisely that reason, not to defile any elements. You might be interested to read a new book, And The Last Trump Shall Sound, in which there is a story involving Trump’s tomb...
