Stay Away, Grim Reaper

Well, that's an enlightened view
of the Grim Reaper, isn't it?

But in truth, we are very afraid of him.

Because he's coming for all of us
even though we don't want to think about it.

The Grim Reaper is often,
for good reason,
associated with War.

We try to deny our deep fears
by making jokes and poking fun
at the Grim Reaper.

But we've seen altogether too much
of him in the last couple of years.

So let's all cheat
the Grim Reaper
a little longer!

I didn’t see THAT ending coming. I’m now back to looking at Mr. Quincy Fluffins. Crocs would be a good idea on the Grim Reaper’s bony feet.

The grim reaper has a lot of work the US currently.

OMG fantastic. The one of shenanigans and fuckery up ahead? Yes. Or the one with Mr. Quincy Fluffings and the boom boom! The crocs? I'm dying here.

XOXO

Dang, he deserved Employee of the Year for two years running. He ought to take it up with management and see if he gets a bonus. :D

The last two? Priceless!

Having someone escort you to the next thing wouldn't be so bad. Better image though if he'd leave the scythe at home.

Very funny throughout but ending with a timely message. To bad the drooling Trump cult of personality isn't reading your blog.

Just one more episode ... and one more blog post.

Might as well laugh, mortals. The end cometh!
But, who says it can't be funny, amiright?

One more episode? The grim reaper may die first.

Happy Halloween, 4 days away.

Glad you threw in a cute kitten on a unicorn.

Hey! Crocs can be ridiculously intimidating.

And I agree, let's get vaccinated and make good old skully have to wait another day.

I’d be comforted to know that Terry Pratchett’s Death was coming for me when it’s my time… but these are some very funny versions! I especially like the kitten and the Pale Horse! Not called Binky, I assume?

peppylady (Dora) said...

Maybe the grim reaper wishes more people would get the vaccine. Possible does he/she need less of work load.
Coffee is on and stay safe

All very funny. I love the Grim Reaper. Well, as an icon. And my favourite is l'Ankou, the Breton version.

Oh my, these were too funny. Especially the Wurst one. :)

Blogger keeps eating my comment. These grim reaper funnies are wonderful! "Wurst" was a great groaner of a pun. And "...Just one more episode is funny and terrifying. Loved the "Employee of the Month" ending and the vaccine message. Colorado is a hot spot right now. I don't understand people! Take care, Debra!

Drat! I could not find find the Terry Pratchett quote about a man asking Death what makes life meangiful. Death replies cats are pretty good for that.

The pale horse and the employee of the month were my top picks. Love your blog.
