Did Someone Say PUMPKINS?

YAY! October is here and
that means PUMPKINS!

I see so many ADORABLE pumpkins
on the internet and want to craft them myself!

After all, how HARD can it be?

Somehow, though, it just NEVER seems to happen . . . .

I'll just have to SETTLE for photos
of OTHER people's FABULOUS
jack-o-lantern creations.

THIS ONE is going straight to my blog SIDEBAR!

And who WOULDN'T love having
Captain America and the Winter Soldier
carved into a pumpkin?

Behold the pumpkin which strikes FEAR
in the heart of EVERY blogger!

These next pumpkins are for all you
KINKY BASTARDS out there.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

And we must not forget to SALUTE
all the dedicated pumpkin GROWERS
who make jack-o-lanterns possible . . . .

THANK YOU for your service and hard work!

Incredible the work some people put into these. The results deserve to be immortalized on the net.

Pumpkin pie? Don't forget the pumpkin pie

Well, my hubby reminded me this morning that OCTOBER IS (his) BIRTHDAY MONTH! I will be reminded daily for the rest of the month, I'm sure!

My garden volunteered a pumpkin vine from the guts of last year's pumpkin, and it produced one very nice specimen which I harvested a week ago. I won't try any artistry other than perhaps a nice PIE!

Great memes. Made me laugh. Many of my pumpkin memes are NSFW but I will try to scare up a post for closer to Halloween.

Hello Debra, The bee and hive pumpkins are stunning, and the toothpick teeth idea is really clever. Your post has put me in the mood for my favorite holiday.

Hahahaha
OMG the little doggie next to the pumpkin plant!
And just like you, I look at all the fantastic arrangements but never seem to drag myself to the store and get some pumpkins and make them look pretty. Maybe this year...

Also, the kinky pumpkins!! LOL

XOXO

These are hilarious! Quite a few true lols in there, D! I'm like you, best of intentions to do something creative and then the pumpkin just sits on the porch. That's ok, it still looks autumnal!

(That corgi though... ha!)

How does trick or treat work with social distancing, and do we have to put out hand sanitiser?

It's so nice to see at least some people getting into the Hallowe'en spirit!!!!! I LOVE pumpkins!

I don't care for pumpkins, myself, but I kind of got off on those kinky ones!
Such imagination and creativity.

I used to love carving jack-o-lanterns every year. Haven't done so since moving to Spain. Maybe I'll find a decent sized pumpkin and do it this ear. I especially love the pumpkin that had kittens! Oh, and the bee and honeycomb!

I love the smell of a burning candle in a jack-o-lantern.

Great post this morning, Deb! So many LOLs... loved Captain America (rowrrrrr), but laughed most at the toothpicks and Corgi! With so many great jack o'lanterns out there now -- it's no wonder why us ordinary folk feel like we fall short and give up.

Love that last photo. She looks so proud.

"What I actually do" is a little more effort than I put in. My daughter and SIL are the "plan to doers". We just visit them and stand next to their work.

She's adorable, and so self sacrificing.
I never did much with pumpkins, except eat other people's homemade pumpki pie (when they turned away).
Cheers.

Ha ha! I am the plain pumpkin gal myself, I just like the way they look without being carved. I'm weird that way!! Our son was so good at carving them when he was a kid and lived with us. Since he moved away, I don't bother with any Halloween stuff! Except might get that plain pumpkin, good enough for me. 😀

Candy corn pumpkins are an abomination. What’s next? Circus peanut pumpkins???

Love the cargo pumpkin farmer though 😄

Bondage pumpkins? That is a new decorating style.

I like those candy corn pumpkins! Some of the others gave me good ideas for my scary pumpkin at the end of the month. Possibly - the WiFi one!

I was looking at pumpkins in the grocery store yesterday. I think Terry and I need to celebrate big this year. Thank you for the much-needed laughs on this crazy day. Take care, Debra!

People do such amazing things with Pumpkins. Personally anything that I have ever tried came out messy. I love the honeycomb.

Oh gosh, I get all squeemish when I see bats. The neighborhood I lived in when I was a teenager was very wooded and at night you'd have to walk with your hands covering your hair because of the bats.
