The Big Day is Here!

THAT'S RIGHT!

One way or the other,
there WILL be candy tonight!

No, no, no,
I said CANDY!

Masks are a wise idea to wear too.
You never know WHAT or WHO they may ward off . . . .

Everyone's idea of
APPROPRIATE or GOOD candy
differs, however.

If you DO go trick or treating,
be careful about HIDDEN DANGERS
in your candy --

And remember,
TOMORROW everything's
on at HALF PRICE!

So you can pig out
ALL OVER AGAIN!

Very funny as usual, except for the aspersions cast upon Candy Corn. Just because Trump said Candy Corn is for losers is no excuse to malign this beloved treat.

If they really do that in Florida, then it deserves to be submerged by global warming.

I actually liked candy corn, but I'll pass on the special "nasty" ones.

We were terrible children...halfway through the neighborhood we'd go home, sort out the undesirable yuk candy from the good stuff and tell our parents to give it out (recycle it). Mom and dad always gave out Hershey Bars and back then they were "full size" bars. They gave out the yuk candy along with the Hersheys. Our little town of 500 is not doing door to door this year...we all donated candy to the Community Fund which will be doing a drive thru Halloween at town hall.

The grenade reminded me of a guy I used to work with that had a grenade (disabled) on his desk with a sign that said 'make it quick'.

Says to self, Maybe I'll make a comment about the candy corn butt plugs. Maybe no one else noticed. HA!

I want you, I want you, cheap Twix!

Have to say - I know it's almost Halloween when the candy corn shows up at the store. I'm pretty sure it's good for you - maybe not as good as chocolate but still good.

My childhood Halloween hauls were always decimated by the time my older sister took her share, the chocolate bars given to Dad and Mom had taken the MacIntosh apples to check for razor blades. All that was left for me were home-made popcorn balls, Rockets, suckers and gum! I really miss cherry Chiclets though, LOL!

I've really enjoyed all your posts this month -- your stash of great Halloween memes is truly impressive, Deb!!

Happy Halloween!

These are all hilarious! I especially liked the one with Death and the Snickers bars. We had Halloween here last night. People were advised to put their wrapped treats outside, so I put some strawberry-filled chocolate frogs on the wall. As I was going back inside, I saw some families coming down the street to collect their goodies, and was delighted to hear a little one squel excitedly,””Look! There’s something over there!”

Given the prevalence of corn syrup as an ingredient these days, it may ALL be candy corn.

I love your post - so much to make me smile, thank you! We once had Halloween in Florida, it was amazing, we drove out of the holiday rental area and explored some of the single storey housing estates where 'real people' lived, I don't think one single house didn't have a pumpkin in their garden AND an American flag - you are discouraged from waving a flag in your garden in the UK in case you offend someone or other with your patriotism by the way. Anyhow, it was fun and Walmart was heaving with Halloween goodies. We carved our pumpkins and put them round the pool, we ate at Crackerbarrel - they had such a good display in the shop we bought plates and a wreath. Happy USA memories.

That you can't take Halloween from my heart is all me. I finally found a fully Halloween themed (not a bit of Christmas to be seen) "ugly" sweater and I plan to wear it all the way through Valentine's Day.

I shall never look at candy corn again without wincing. Also, I always suspected 2020 was a pile of poop. Now we have visual proof!

I hope your Halloween was good and sweet, Debra.

Back in the day when I was able to eat candy, I actually liked eating candy corn.

Now on the other hand, Almond Joy, Mounds and Bounty bit the big one with me. Coconut is gross and nasty.

These were hilarious! I laughed out loud with the one about how kids judge the candy handed out. So funny!

I was the legend this year with full size candy and gift bags full of treats! I keep waiting to build a reputation as the must-go-to house but so far I remain a quiet haunt.
