Cling Wrap SEXINESS

Hey, remember that stupid advice from years ago about how women should greet their husbands at the door wearing only cling wrap and holding a martini?  Well, recently I've had occasion to wrap a certain body part in cling wrap and you know what? It's not all that titillating.

About a month ago, I had surgery on my leg to remove some (very early stage) skin cancer. The dermatologist stitched me up in a rather gruesome fashion reminiscent of these other famous examples of his handiwork --

Anyway, I am not supposed to get either the wound or its bandaging wet so when I have a shower, I must wrap my leg in cling wrap and secure it at the top with waterproof tape. Even now that the stitches have been removed, the wound is slow to heal completely and I must continue to baby it in this way.

Should I mark this photo NSFW?

NO sexual propositions or marriage proposals PLEASE.

Oh, yeah. Sexy. And the stiletto put me over the edge!

Hope you heal well and quickly.

It's the sexy slipper that makes it R rated.

Heal quickly.

Bob said...

Yeah, not so sexy.

But it's what the doctor ordered.

Hope you heal quickly.

Wow - you hottie. You are rocking that saran wrap. And the slipper - ooh la la. In all seriousness though, skin cancer is no joke so well done having that removed. I would like you blog around for another 13 years.

I don't think cling wrap is for older people - we would have trouble getting it off!

Mistress Maddie said...

Glad you doing well!! But the salacious seflies ALWAYS start with a gam or two...watch out toots! What's next?

Boud said...

Ow, heal soon.

I'm sorry that you have to go through this, I wish you an as speedy as possible recovery. I didn't know that it was a thing, the cling wrap/martini seduction attempt lol. Sounds hot in a very bad way, glad it's a thing from the past! Definitely a NSFW photo by the way!!! ;D Take good care dear Debra!

The cling film looks bearable. The waterproof tape not. Do you rip it off fast or slow?

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Tasker Dunham -- Actually, the waterproof tape comes off quite easily, thank goodness. I think the shower spray does soften it up so that's probably why.

Oh the wonders of modern medicine. At least they did not cauterize it with a hot blade. Head to toe covering, or only go out at night! xo

Venus with a fur slipper. Rock on!

Great, the lower leg. The only part that heals slower is the foot. How much cling wrap did you buy? Did they look at you funny at the store? Like, what are you doing with this?

Hello Debra, I don't drink, but I can see why the martini was considered necessary with the cling wrap. Get well soon!

Boy, what some people will do to expose themselves! Hubba, hubba! I'm going to be humming Mr. Cellophane all morning. I've never been able to get saran wrap to cling to anything but itself. Kudos. Seriously though, take care Debra.

How dare you?
Too salacious! The sexyness is unscapable. Especially the fact that you're recovering from surgery.
I had no idea of the cling wrap/Martini combo. Is this some Cosmo nonsense?
Hope the wound heals well. Some do take their time as if we don't have anything else to do in life.

XOXO

You poor thing. I hope your healing accelerates!

Years ago I had some 'work done' on my legs for varicose veins and I had to wear compress hosiery for many days; the husband didn't even notice. He might have liked the cling wrap though.

I'm glad they caught the cancer early

Yikes! It is difficult to keep wounds dry in the shower. I guess the cling film is the best or at least cheapest solution. I'm sure your scar will be another sexy come on... don't some people find them attractive? Or is that only in bad fiction? Lol.
Heal well!

Ugh, that's miserable. Sorry, hon. At least there's an important use for cling wrap. (I hate that stuff already).
Smooth healing to you.

Rosemary said...

That sounds like a really tiresome thing to have to keeo doing. You would have thought that there would be a much simpler solution that you could do.
Hope it heals up quickly so you can then stop climgfilming yourself all of the time.

I'm glad they caught the cancer and treatment seems to be going well (if a tad slow). LOL the cling wrap thing always seemed a very odd fetish, but who am I to yuck someone's yum?

Thanks for another picture I won't be able to un-see! Seriously, I hope your leg heals quickly so you can shave that calf, LOL!

You sexy thing!

I've had to do the not as sexy as advertised wrapping once or thrice. Doing it around my arm wasn't so bad, but it was particularly annoying when I had to wrap my middle. I looked and felt like a rather sore sausage.

I hope the surgery and your care of the wound give the best results.

Glad it was caught early!

I hope your healing goes well ~ several years ago I had some surgery on a thumb... the surgeon told bed pre-op to go buy buy some of the farm stores' artificial insemination gloves for cows! Arm-pit plus high!

Compliments on your slippers, I have the similar sort and they truly go with every (home-based) outfit. Even clingfilm clearly. Well done on early elimination of possible skin issues and I wish you good recovery. Was it not Tawanda in Fried Green Tomatoes who wrapped herself in cling film for her partner?

Debra She Who Seeks said...

@ Onevikinggirl -- I don't remember that from either the book or the movie, but my memory is not what it used to be, so you're probably right! Maybe that's even where the stupid idea originated, LOL!

Richard said...

Oh no! I've been there and it is a pain in the ass. Please get better soon.

I imagine it would be very hot in the summer. Good thing cooler temperatures are on their way.

Glad they caught that bastard on time.

Oh poor you! I hope everything heals quickly, Debra! I met my husband once at the bus stop when he came home from work, and I was only wearing a coat. He was mortified when he realized that was all I was wearing. LOL! He's more circumspect than I am! But he did drive home very fast ~ winkers! Have a good one!

For me, dealing with saran wrap or hefty bags was just too much, and figuring out how to tape them on. It was too much.

I didn't do anything, and i didn't bathe as much as i ordinarily would.

Of course i thought of our plants, but i decided not to do that. It was a dangerous situation.

I ended up showering 2ce a week and changing the bandages everyday. I used clean cotton gauze and non stick pads.

I used silvadene ointment and it seemed to help quite a bit in my case. The silvadene was useful against staphylococcus.

What saved my life, was realizing that i don't have to go wash dishes and do laundry anymore for strangers.

I will never be improved by them.

It is not my job to tell them where things are. It is just crazy talk.

What do they care about fox turds and tuna season and everything else that is happening?

Tasteful as always, Debra. Glad you've had the treatment at an early stage.

I'm so glad I don't have to cover my blood sugar monitor. That looks terribly inconvenient - but better than an infection.
