Also, 'your ancestors were small and weak'! ROTFLMAO
And between yo and I, if someone had an Anubis mailbox, I'd like to have some drinks with them. For real!

XOXO

We started watching Moon knight and it deals heavily with Egyptian mythology

I had lunch with a retired papyrologist last week, he spend much of his spare time for 50 years interpreting ancient languages. Next time I see him I will ask if ever encountered typos.

@ Old Lurker -- Earworm? Then my work here is done, LOL! Just out of curiosity, which one? "King Tut" or "Walk Like An Egyptian"?

Small and weak and no slaves.

Good ones but the 1st one got a guffaw. :)

Old Lurker said...

Neither. "Last Christmas" by Wham!, of course.

I lived for thirty years with a couple who believed the history channel by night version.

Small and weak ancestors! HA.
These are all so good. Still though, how the hell did they make those Pyramids? So many workers, so much time.

I loved to laugh at groups when I get the jokes specific to their culture.

One of your best collections - great post.

Great collection - I stay away from the History Channel as history seems to be the last thing they focus on.

Walk like an Egyptian...

The coffin painter had me laughing out loud.

And it's been a while since I had cable, but it sounds like the History Channel hasn't changed much.

Those were funny. I am one of those people who is fascinated with that culture. I miss them.

Frank said...

Really funny. Wheel of fortune! And "spelling errors". Where do you find these things?

The one about the aliens several thousand years later...! These are all so funny!

So funny, Debra! I remember some years ago when a large Egyptian statue appeared at the front of Denver International Airport, thanks to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and its visiting Egyptian exhibit. It was Anubis. That felt so wrong! I had to think twice about getting on my flight.
