I didn't know about Gritty, Debra. He's certainly fun. I had to Google who the Avs' mascot is, because I didn't know that either. It's Bernie, the St. Bernard. Gritty is definitely more compelling and fun.
My first queer friend and mentor was a lesbian. We met in college and she helped me out of the closet. (And we're friends to this day.) In my early gayby years, it was my lesbian and bi-women friends who accepted me, made me feel safe and loved, and taught me to be proud of who and what I was.

I've never heard of Gritty before, but who doesn't love an all-inclusive mascot? NO ONE!
Patience above! I have never seen this ... person(?) before.
Who couldn't love him????
Wave that flag, Gritty!

Haha, puck bunnies.
Oh, gritty. I hope you don't scare the kids, because there's clearly a lot of heart in there.
Gritty's great, but I'm a Gainer girl, LOL!
Cool 🏳️🌈
I saw a Gainer girl. Woman after my own heart. Go, Riders!
Ohh I love the gritty person. LOL. Have a great day.
That's a great mascot.
Oh Happy Day! Gritty is here. Welcome to my Heart.

My hero and my joy.
He's cute. And he looks like fun!
So that’s what it looks like. I only just heard of it via a blurb for a Loki fan story I don’t think I will read now! 😂
