@ Boud -- I believe they started as fair food, yes. But in Canada, you can buy them frozen in a box, microwavable for home consumption. They're called "Pogos" here and are very popular. Between Pogos and Poutine, Canadians are doomed, bloody doomed.
@ Bob -- I've only had Beef Wellington once, years and years ago at some fancy-shmancy dinner hosted (and paid for) by some big legal organization or another. I was just getting over a horrible cold and my sense of taste was gone. So, yes, I had Beef Wellington but it was completely wasted on me. Alas!

It's been eons, perhaps at a fair or something when I lived in California, but I will say, I do love a corndog!
And they're right about Beef Wellington, it's just an elitist corndog
never..... but that's more a case of availability..... and being pescetarian as well wouldn't help me......
