Why I Like Costco
Costco still maintains its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies
despite Trump/MAGA demands to end them.
In fact, Costco's shareholders recently voted overwhelmingly
against a proposal that would have forced the company to
evaluate the risks of its DEI initiatives, demonstrating
strong support for the company's current approach.
Costco emphasizes that its DEI efforts foster a sense of
respect and inclusion, which are core to the company's values.
While many cowardly companies and organizations are
obeying Trump/MAGA's demands, Costco's strong stance
has been linked to a significant increase in store visits
and positive public opinion.
I Applaud Costco's Integrity!

We do a Costco run about every six weeks to stock up on essentials. 55miles from home. Flour pasta frozen fish (we live in the desert so) Italian sausage chicken olive oil ham cheese and other stuff. My reaction whenever I go on weekdays is “Doesn’t anyone work anymore?” Eyeglasses OK; hearing aids-I’ve had issues. Glad they are still DEI.

Yeah, Costco! I wish we had more in our region; the two we have are just a little too far away to warrant the drive or membership.

How insecure must you be to feel compelled to oppress, expel, and disenfranchise people because they aren't just like you, or because they call you out because of the reprobate degenerate predator that you are?
A Costco trip is on my list of things to do today.
I find shopping at Costco so difficult because you end up spending so much money there, unless you have a lot of restraint. I am getting better thankfully.
I, too, am impressed with Costco's refusal to give up their DEI policies. I am also impressed with their employee retention. I may be visiting there today.
I don't think we have Costco here - certainly not near us - but they sound like good employers. We do Lidl and Aldi and you can go in there for one thing and come out with something completely different and weird!
We should give it a try.
They keep building them here --- all on the very outskirts of the metropolitan spread. We're having to travel farther and farther to get our groceries and supplies.

I've never been to Costco, paying membership in order to shop! But I applaud their DEIA (don't forget the A for accessibility) position. They deserve to be supported by people who need far more stuff than I do.

I didn't know they supported DEI. I'm going to have to get a membership.
That last one was pretty good. As was the zombies one. Probably not a bad idea. I myself have never been to any of these places as I generally don't buy in bulk.
It's absolutely crazy that COSTCO had defended their DEI policies! It's like a fiver dream where capitalism does something good!

I shopped there once many years ago. The nearest one is in Moncton, so definitely not for me. I rarely leave the island.

Debra, its been DEIA since inception. It's just handier graphically and sound bitey to leave off the A. This has been ramped up by the current administration particularly. I've been fighting back for years on behalf of disabled friends who are so tired of being left out and left behind. Just sayin. We can all do better, me too. And thank you for taking it in the spirit intended.
I LOVE Costco (and Wegmans) for their DEI stance. I also just love Costco. I used to get these pens at Costco that I loved. I was on my last one, I asked my husband to pick me up a box on his way home. He came home having spent just over $400 and no friggin' pens!! Oops, he says he forgot. OMG
Hello Debra, There is Costco here in Taipei, but it is far away and there is no way I could manage those bulk purchases, even if I found a way to get them home.

A second Costco is being built here and city council has provided a sweetheart tax exemption so it will be built within city limits -- more millions of dollars to be paid by taxpayers, so Costco is the same as Amazon, Walmart, et. al. in my opinion!
