During this year's Winter Solstice celebration at Stonehenge (when pagans are allowed to freely congregate among the Stones because of their right to freedom of religion), a black cat named Moon also showed up and stole the show! His appearance was taken to be a good omen for the coming year.

Moon is the star of the show and makes it all mystical.
I hope Moon is a good omen. We need some good!
...cats are taking over!
That is so cool. I firmly believe that is a sign! I have always felt black cats are actually good luck and a good omen too.
I love it!
Note: I am in Google Hell this morning. Posting and comments will be light until I get this stuff sorted out.
Black cat: a great omen
the Ol'Buzzard
What a handsome cat!
I love the picture of Moon sitting atop Stonehenge. That surely looks like a sign!
A sign of a great year to come.
I absolutely LOVE that!!
Just another sign that cats rule!
He's moving left to right! That's good luck. Right to left not so much.
From me as Indonesian, I have my own personal opinion and perspective, black cats are generally not strongly linked to luck, either good or bad. Most Indonesians see cats regardless of color as normal animals rather than omens. In some local beliefs, black cats may be associated with mystery or the supernatural, but this is not a dominant or widely accepted view. In Islamic tradition, which influences many Indonesians, cats are respected animals and are not considered symbols of bad luck. Because of this, many Indonesians treat black cats kindly and practically, focusing more on behavior and cleanliness than superstition or signs of fortune.
Laughing at the cat!
It is the crow family that rule the stones. Moon will get a rude awakening once her audience leaves ;)
🤣🐈⬛ OMG! HRH astral-traveled to Stonehenge?! When the Queen calls a meeting, Pagans obey!! 👑
How wonderful, Debra.
This is both hilarious and also not a surprise. Cats do as they please, where they please!
all praze dee stone henge goddess!!
That cat surely knew it was the star of the "show" that day. We had several black cats over the years and they were very regal.
What a beautiful cat. He, or she, was lucky they didn't get run over on the motorways surrounding the henge.
@ Cleora Borealis -- D'oh! I should have known!
@ Pixie -- Yes, when I visited Stonehenge in 2009, that expressway was very VERY close to the Stones. But I read on the internet that since then, the UK government actually re-routed the expressway further away, which is such a good thing to have done.
Oh my gosh. How fitting. Very cool. Also a place I'd love to go and shoot.
Never mind the tea leaves, the omen is clear! Better times are coming!
Hello Debra, Stonehenge looks uncomfortably crowded with people there. The cat is the only one with any sense.
