The Georgia O'Keefe one is priceless!
Also, the opposite of Straight As!

LOL

Thanks, I needed that.

XOXO

P.S. I planted in my little test garden all kinds of wiild flowers to see if I get some bees next year!

very very cute, especially the one about the hummingbird and the bees.

The bees are finding it cold here these days. It was only 8C overnight.

Growing up in the country I've had plenty of bees land on me...and sting me....but the one that I remember the most was when I was sitting in church, all dressed up, and I looked down to see a huge bumblebee walking along on my lap. Talk about fear. Couldn't cry out because I was in church so I just sat still as a board and stared at the darn thing until it finally flew off.

If the birds and the bees can get along why can't we :)

Gay Bees.
I got my giggle on.

@ Laurie -- No, we're not getting any of the US wildfires smoke here in Edmonton, but Calgary and southern Alberta are blanketed with it. I guess we're too far north or have been protected by a cloudy low temperature front the past few days.

Delightful display of our fuzzy, winged friends. Couldn't resist a smile.

I love the second meme!! I would love that!

I looked quickly at the images. I'll have to work up slowly. Fatally allergic and stung MANY times in my life, which is likely why a local allergy became a general one. I love bees. I know what wonders they are. But seeing one up close sets me off. I promise to keep trying.

These are the bees' knees! I hope that that is a shoe at the bottom of that first t-shirt, otherwise some guy needs to see a doctor, stat!
the Georgia O'Keefe one is classic! All of the cute ones stole my heart.

@ Kirk -- Hahahahahaha, good one!

@ Moving with Mitchell -- Sorry, man, I'll put a trigger warning on any future bee posts.

The pictures of the humming bird and the bees sipping water and the bumble climbing to the window had me going, awwwww.

You saved the best for last, even if the cat looks completely over it.

Hello Debra, I must have missed the call for bee images. Many old coins and tokens had bees and hives on them representing Industry. Here is a nice-looking example:

Bees of all sizes have been missing this year. Usually when the Rose of Sharon blooms the big bees are out in force. I've only seen a few this year.

@ bruce.desertrat -- Wow, what beautiful photos! Love all the bees in the cacti blooms especially! Thanks for creating that link for me!

I do love me the bees.

Have I told you this before? My sister had a sign that she put up after she got her first job.
"No Bees, no honey.
No Job, no money."
She still doesn't like to work! :-)

Pretty cool pics.

I must be a little obtuse today as I don't really get the Georgia O'Keefe one.

Hehehehe ... the Georgia O'Keeffe comic is so funny! You know I'm swiping it so that I can include it in my Modern Art class. *snicker*

Maybe one day I'll have to tell you about the imaginary friend I had when I was a kid -- Bizz Buzz the Bumblebee. :)

Fantastic post on bees. I do everything I can to attract them to my yard.
Have a very nice day.

This is a BEE-U-TIFUL post. You know I'm all about the bees....the pic of the hummer with the bumble bees took my breath away; lovely!!

I'm copying the Georgia O'Keefe one. One of my childhood memories is being stung by a bee I was harassing. I meant no harm just overly curious.

Good to have you back. Hope the summer was a good one despite all the restrictions and everyone there is healthy?

Yesterday, while I watered my plants, I had a wasp land on my forearm. We stared at each other for a few seconds... Now I can't believe I didn't thanked it for the compliment.

Hurrah for gay bees.

The hummingbird is sharing with honeybees. Honeybees are thinner, more compact. My father and grandfather were beekeepers, I was raised on a honey farm, known by the neighbors as the funny farm.

I was very charmed by the bees and the hummingbird getting their refreshment on at the same time. Too cute!
