The day before surgery, the wandering preacher walked into my room, and asked if I wanted to pray, I politely declined, he said "I will pray for your doctors" to which I replied, "get the right gods there are at least three of them involved here."

I totally agree with the first one!

Great Sunday fare!

I read the title and knew you meant me. Then I read the first meme and saw you were quoting me. Many of the others are sad but true.

Steven Weinberg's statement...for sure.

And....of course...the threat of punishment.
My daughter in law would be horrified of this post.

She is a Good Christian who loves White Lies.

Great post this morning - I giggled all the way through. Highlights included the meme about owning cats, the secular confectionist, and the adobe reader.

Oh, that chemistry meme just burns me up. It con-fuses me how He gets all the credit for my hard work.

If colander one is a good one, considering many crazy Christians have noodles for brains.

DVArtist said...

Love these. Especially the first one.

Dunstan Skinner said...

Loved them all. So good. I especially liked the colander one.

Some good ones there! I do like the pdf one.

OK, here's an idea... the secular confectionist calendar.
First Ricky Gervais is off by a few thousand, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religions_and_spiritual_traditions. 4200 is closer to the total count right now. That's not counting the 330 million Hindu gods.
So 4200/365 is 11 celebrations a day, every day, all year long. That's a lot of baked goods and candy.

And the HE joke will be in Saturday jokes next Saturday.

This is both a good read and wisdom filled piece. I am gaining a new perspective here

LOVE the FSM colander!

These all mesh beautifully with my worship of Cocoa beans and the teachings of Rudolph Lindt, LOL!

Ur-spo said...

Has G-d struck you down dead yet?

Old Lurker said...

Oh Tundra Bunny. Don't tell me you have been swayed by the honey-tongued lies of Rudolph Lindt? He may be charismatic and have good marketing, but he is a heretic and a fraud. True followers of the Cocoa Way understand that Domenico Ghirardelli preaches the most chocolaty gospel.

Joanne Noragon said...

I need to get that cat, soon.

River said...

The Helium one is great.

Kirk said...

I don't want to come across as a Doubting Thomas, but there's currently a worldwide helium shortage.

Guillaume said...

Spot on.

Tundra Bunny said...

@ Old Lurker: Methinks you have confused Lindt with Theodor Tobler. The Toblerone Line is known for its honey nougat and jagged dragons' teeth. Ghirardelli makes passable chocolate caramel squares and peppermint bark, but cannot hold a candle to Rudolph Lindt's divine creations... We must agree to disagree on this subject, dear, dear Lurkie. To do otherwise could lead to yet another unnecessary war.

OMG...er, Oh My. I have clogged more than one toilet at another's house. I can verify that meme.

Cheers and stay warm, Debra.

The only reasonable religion is sun worship

My fave today was the one about cats and christians. I also enjoyed the colander, because i enjoy the noodly appendages.
Thanks!

Great funnies Debra! ♥

The one about clogging the toilet! BAHAHAHAHA These were so funny. The only deity I know is my calico cat who insists on being worshipped.

That tweet says a lot! I love Ricky Gervais and adored his Netflix series, After Life. The writing was well done with this topic.
