Some of the book's GROANALICIOUS puns and wordplay include "you're pollen my leg," "swarm in here or is it just me?" and "sorry to drone on." For those of you traumatized by bees, the author has also created a very handy "Fear-Based Bee Opinion Matrix" (F-BOM) to guide you. And there's even an illustrated chapter of "Great Paintings, If They Had Put Bees In Them."

Thanks for a big smile with bees 🐝😆🐝
I have that book and his bird book too. Both of them are hilarious as well as informative!
"Don't make it weird man" amd "Tsunambee" slayed me!
Love the bees…what a bee-utiful gift. Groan! It is though!
...bee well my friend!
This is a lot of fun. I have to find that book now.
I grew up with a billion bees in the back yard.
That's pretty funny, Debra!
🤣 Bee butts rule!! Of course they're tired, humans are killing them off and those remaining have a huge workload!! Maybe they should have union representation as well as workers' comp!! ✊️
Bees and I have happily coexisted in my garden for decades.
When I got that book Debs and read it I knew I had to go back and get you a copy. I haven't laughed that hard at a book in ages. And the meme with the Bumblebee sleeping in the flower is so true. This past summer when I was in my wildflower garden I saw a bee in a flower like that and I thought it was dead. I went to clip the flower and then behold ,he woke up and flew out. I couldn't believe a bee fell asleep in a flower. That's like me falling asleep with a glass of gin.
That giant flying stabby thing on the Tsunamabee poster is...a hornet, I believe...I fully believe that THEY would form an enormous unstoppable storm of stabbiness.
@ bruce.desertrat -- Yeah, I think you're right. But they still used "bee" as the basis for the pun "Tsunambee," Guess they were not counting on sharp-eyed individuals like you!
I love bees. Not all the flowers are blooming around here in the early spring so I help the bees along by starting the hummingbird feeders early because they love the sugar nectar I make for them.
That picture of the bee butt is so cute.
Hello Debra, I found the following info: "Female solitary bees sleep in their nests but male solitary bees sleep outside, resting in places like grass stalks or in flowers." From this reader-friendly article about bees:

BEE-UTIFUL! "Don't make it weird, man" made me LOL!
What a nice gift.
Those gifts are right up your alley.
I love bees, they are amazing, not just for how hard they work but also for how their society is set up. I too am named after the patron saint of bees.
Don't make this weird, man lol.
Love the fat bottom on that bee and your snuggly is adorable
Love the memes! Love the bees!
Check out TexasBeeWorks online. She is amazing! Always closes with '...and it was another great day of saving the bees.'
Great post.
My brother tried to cultivate bees, but it did not work out, worse luck. I like the notion of bees nearby.
I love all these memes except for Tsunambee. I zipped passed that quickly. It would give me nightmares. Even the meme that followed made me queasy. Bees covered in pollen make me happy. That book from Maddie sounds wonderful. I might look for it myself. He’s such a honey!

That's a lovely gift. Thank you for the smiles. I love the bee that has fallen asleep :-)
Great post. You are the best.
I love the bees all covered in pollen...
Thank you so much for sharing, I've never seen a bee up close with pollen like that!
