This is a lovely post my friend. I love those Glimmers, and I feel/see them daily. Also, I need a Grilled cheese Sammy, and the only proper way to cut it is on the diagonal.
Excellent timely post, Sporticus! I like the idea of watching for glimmers -- I'm already experiencing one just reading your blog today with my favourite coffee!
This post hits home for me. The best advice I try to keep to is in the saying "comparison is the thief of joy". I try not to compare myself to people who are much more successful, wealthier and happier etc than me. I look at myself based on my own path and progress. Thanks for the post. Liam. :)
I sometimes wonder what to actually do to “practice self care”, because I just don’t know. Maybe I do it and don’t realize it. Sometimes people (not you) describe it in an off hand way to disparage taking care of others and they themselves don’t really know what it means.
A beautiful, heartwarming and very uplifting post dear Debra 🥹🥰♥️ I totally agree to each line you shared. I loved Buddha’s quote yes valuing ourselves is important because it’s the origin of compassion for others.one who can’t love himself or respect himself can never share it with others around 🥰 Thanks 🙏♥️

I seriously love this post and will try to heed the advice. I’m looking for glimmers already, and this is one of them (as are you).
...you can't care for others if you don't care for yourself.
Sage advice, all of it.
I'll look for the glimmers.
I was glimmering yesterday in a very remote forest with just myself and my little dog.
Self care is life saving.
Lovely. Thank you.
I love those glimmers. They're powerful, and thank you for this post.
🙋♀️ I second that, MwM!! Debra, you are a glimmer for me every day! 🥰
All wonderful ... that last one made me chuckle!
You're right; I NEED a grilled cheese cut on the diagonal :-)
there's always time for a bit of self-care!!
YAY for the grilled cheese cut diagonal. And ketchup.

This is what we need more of. Not the crazy shit in Washington DC right now. I still miss Obama and Biden. I want sanity again. *HEAVY SIGH*
Grilled cheese and a glimmer go perfectly together!

I so agree that compassion needs to be given to oneself too.
How did you know about my sparkle?
@ Mike -- Hahahahahaha, incorrigible as always!
Glimmer? Love that. Let's hope tomorrow is more glimmer than dystopian nightmare bullshit. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
@ DB Stewart -- I hear ya, fellow Canuckian.
I love the Buddha quotation !
Great ending!
I learned something new, glimmer! I experience them, I have never had a word for the joy.
