Glorious Sunshine

Happy Summer Solstice! Who doesn't enjoy the longest day of the year and all that glorious sunshine? So celebrate the sun in your own way today. Maybe do some ritual sun worship . . .

. . . or dress up in a crazy costume and embody the sun yourself!

Or just find your favourite sunbeam and have a nice snooze.

Or write a blog post!

Happy Summer Solstice, Debra! I hope you have a sunshiny day. Just on my way out into the heat and sun...boiling here today...sheesh... Well, I'd rather that than those frigid winter days.

I'm planning on hitting the pool when I get home from work. The longest day also happens to be the hottest at the moment, at least where I live.

It is hot outside, and most certainly summer! Have a wild day, wear a silly hat, eat some ice cream, go skinny-dipping.

Sunshine is but a vague memory here in the Okanagan. But since it is the first day of summer I am hopeful that we will once again see it poking through the rain clouds. I am the eternal optimist!

I'd say that yellow hat would be enough to scare the life out of me if I saw it in person.

Well, out here in the desert we have sun shiny days every day and summer begins in April and might end Halloween night, so, no excitement here about more sun! Just sayin'

Love that sun hat! I'm definitely going to remember it for future costume purposes!

Now the days are getting shorter. Sigh.
