That last one made me roar. I'm stealing it! You rock ;-)
unfortunately, phil is about a as accurate as all the other meteorologists!
Hehe #4 :) Come on spring!
I love Groundhog Day! It is the one "holiday" that Hallmark hasn't taken over. Instead of celebrating and being with people we can wake up, tell everyone to leave you the fuck alone, turn over and go back to sleep. You can bite someone if you want. Fucking bring it on!
that last prediction isn't really a prediction but a general fact....
Hahaha...love that last one! So true!
What a hoot! Watched it this morning. All great !!!
he says an early spring..no shit..it was 81 last week.
have a great semi-holiday
Happy Groundhog, Candlemas, Imbolc and I'm going with Willie and Phil!
I knew I could count on you to give us a good laugh about the stupid groundhog thing! Love them all!!
Meh, 6 more weeks of winter? Who cares? Grumpy cat would eat Phil up.
I thought it was just a movie!
I think the 9 more months of bullshit is optimistic Mr. Phil.
LOL! So funny! Our's said it's an early Spring ;o)
Yup, 6 more weeks of friggin`SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The groundhog and the guy holding him look strangely similar---especially in the 4th picture, haha!
These are great! I think we all see b.s. with politicians, though...
Yep! That's what the forecast was for here as well. :0)
What, no Bill Murray? We go now!
LOL! Our Shubenacadie Sam saw his shadow.....so we will have 6 more weeks of the white stuff!Enjoy your Sunday Debra.
Hahahahahahahaha! Those are great! Little rascals.
The groundhogs always know where its at. I am going with Phil and Willie this year. Forget the more Eastern rodents. Spring is coming. Period.Happy February!
Come on Spring!!!
first one had be laughing non stop!
anyone have a rodent recipe? let's get rid of the old liar! ;) lmfao
so, is winter over?this tradition is quite cute :) especially became popular after the movie.
Phil had better be right. I'm sick of all this snow. If he's wrong, I'm sending my cat after him. Also, as has already been said, that last picture is absolutely hilarious.
Hi Debra, I keep seeing your gloved hands icon showing up on blogs that I'm following, especially in "From Sophie View" and "Ocean Breezes," so I decided to visit your blog and become a follower. As an elementary teacher, I had to deal with Groundhog Day every year, so this post was full of laughs for me. By the way, I loved the last image - it's hilarious and true!
I love Phil! He's so cute with his chubby cheeks! Even though he predicted an early spring, it certainly doesn't feel that way today...supposed to get some snow later.
I was wondering if we were going to get more freakin' cold weather. My poor daffodils are so confused. They came up from the ground during the warm snap we had, then they froze during the snow!
It really baffles me that every year hundreds of media outlets all pretend that a cute fuzzy animal can somehow accidentally predict the weather by maybe seeing a shadow or not. How are we supposed to advance as a civilization if we can't let go of nonsense like this?
Hi Debra,That last one - I need to steal,lol..
