A Fresh New Start!

Did you
party too much
last night?

Not everyone enjoys
New Year's Eve though.

Welcome to
the first two
GROANS of 2023!

And speaking of
Old Lang Signs --

Are you making any
New Years Resolutions?

Look who's talking, LOL!

As for me, well . . . .

I resolve to leave comments on your post earlier than I have been.

Today, anyway, I've kept that resolution...I think.

I don't stay up for the new years now, though I always get a rude awakening just half an hour before midnight and every half hour after that because my neighbors apparently have endless fireworks that they needed to use before the next new year.

I hope you have a lovely new year.

“Debra’s Absolutely Fucking Not” should get an Emmy ... or whatever TV shows get in Canada (Canadian Screen Awards?). Maybe even a Pulitzer.

I'm with that last but one picture. I was thinking of various things to aim for and decided just 'be better' covers a multitude of sins/things.

My favourite is the New Year As A Kid one. That last bit is definitely me these days.Mind you, if I wasn’t looking after my mum last Saturday night I would at least go out to see a film, but I don’t bother with the midnight thing any more.

Happy New Year, Debra! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead. We spent a night in Ottawa and brought in the new year with some friends at a pub with good friends, plenty of drinks and live music. We may be old in body but we're young at heart!

I am to old to start over,
and unfortunately to old to party like I used to.
I greeted the New Year by getting up to pee at midnight.

we spent a fun New Year's Eve with some dancing :-))
New Year's resolutions haven't been around for a long time, at least since kids were out of babyhood.
I try to make every day beautiful, sometimes I succeed more sometimes less... and when I succeed, it's a great day.
I wish you great days in 2023. Lots.

How do we know said...

Oh, Please don't stop doing any of these things!! We love you as is!

Just between us squirrelfriends?
I slept through New Years'. I had a delicious edible (cranberry and orange cookies) and because I am a lightweight it knocked me out and I was sleep by 11:00.
In any case, here's for a fantastic 2023 and many more fun posts.

XOXO

To be honest I usually stay home New Year. Going out usually seems a let down. It works in your twenties/ early 30s but gets worse each year thereafter. My dogs hate fireworks so I do not feel its right to go out and leave them. This year I fell asleep anyway and they woke me to tell me there were bangers going off.

I love the new years' through the ages! On new years eve I was in bed at 10.30 reading, then What's Apping with my Ozzie daughter, then with a friend, then watched fireworks from my bedroom window!! :-)
