Yet We Still Get Spam and Bots -- Why?

And to conclude, here's
a captcha I would gladly do!

I used to love when the airlines asked if I was a terrorist carrying explosives.

The firts and the last had me roaring!!!!! I haven't got one of those in some time, but sometimes, when even clicking the right squares, I once got like 9 different "click on any squares with a ....." crazy!!!!!

They used to ask people to swear whether they were planning to overthrow the government by force or stealth.. You actually signed this as part of citizenship application. I used to wonder if I was supposed to check which. Now of course, it's part of campaigning for Congress.

The muffins are super cute!

Sorry Hall, I can't do that. There was a good news item of the weekend about writing by AI, apparently A has published the first books written that way.

These don't irk me as much as spam emails. I spend a lot of time deleting. I used to rarely get spam but once it started its become uncontrollable - even the email preference "rules" don't work. I wish there was a way to respond that would destroy their computers...but then they would just retaliate I'm sure.

OMG the muffins!!!
And we are going to do training to learn to detect papers written by AI. Yep. It's gonna get ugly.

XOXO

Plot twist: some of the dogs are named Muffins.

These were so good. At least we don't have to verify that we are humans here. Well, right now at least.

I HATE, LOATHE AND DESPISE those *$#!*%@ captchas! Motorcycles seem to be anything from Vespas to scooters.... now if they were all muffins and chihuahas, they would at least be fun to do!

Correction to my comment: it was "force or violence". But it still seemed to be a choose a or b situation.

Now I need a muffin!

I would have to skip the muffin one and ask for a new one. Way too hard. AI and robots are starting to get a little scary. They are definitely making my job more difficult.

You made your point. 100% agreeing with the message here.

Haha, Bob! Seriously! Sometimes I actually enjoy those captcha tests. Just a weirdo, I guess, or too much time on my hands.

I always thought signing a statement that we would not blow up the country was a reverse check on reading the statement.

You're a robot if you can't solve a captcha.

Science-fiction writers used to warn about robots replacing humans, but that's not quite what they had in mind.

Whoa. That dog-muffin photo montage is trippy.

I now receive weird-o messages on WhatsApp. 'Hi, friend...!' gets a swift block.

The muffins and the chihuahuas are fun and a little tricky.

Oh no not the Nicaean Question again! I am here to tell you that i know people who just gave up on Captchas. They seem to be living normal lives.

Love the muffin one :)

The first one - so true. I got tested a few times with having to look for fire hydrants from tiny blurry images - so I kept refreshing the images - who could pass those?

Have a lovely day

Actually, I think I've seen some of those CAPTCHA's before - like for real.

Janie Junebug said...

These are great, but I'm always asking myself if I really am a robot and I just think I'm not.

Love,
Janie

Hey, one of those muffins looks like a cookie. Also, how do I know that one of those puppies isn't a Muffin? This is too hard! Or, perhaps, I am a robot... 🤖🤯

And with deep learning, a machine can think like a human...

I hate captchas, but that last one is precious, Debra!

Liz Hinds said...

What I don't understand is how I get it wrong when told to click on images containing cars.

Rommy said...

What if some of those puppies were named Muffin? (My husband's first dog was named Muffin)

The puppy muffin captcha is the best. Not sure I could pass.
Some of the captchas are so vague, I can't make them out. Old eyes, I guess. My personal favourite is the captcha of snow covered evergreens and you have to pick out all the squares with Finnish snipers

Yes that first one!

I'm late to read this, but this is hilarious.
