Easy and Fun DIY Project!

Invent your OWN religion!

Have a good creation myth,
but don't get TOO bureaucratic
about the details --

 skellerbvvt

A creation myth but told through the lens of modern project management.

“Per my previous email I rerouted the evolutionary chain to crabs because it is our most finished module. if you would like to interface about this you can click here to schedule a 1x1 with me, otherwise the entire Carcinisation demo is here.”

 galwednesday

Hi, just hoping to follow up before the all hands meeting this Friday. The ocean development team has made great progress on their wildlife milestones, but early UX testing indicates that users find most of the demo products unsettling. Our VP of Product Design would like to remind wildlife developers to please follow the design team's "fish" moodboard and refrain from adding too many features (needle teeth, glowing head lamps, tentacles, etc.) or else the final product will become cluttered.

Start small and GROW!

Put in lots of CONTROLLING,
CRAZYMAKING shit!

The best part is -- base
"you know who" on
YOURSELF!

Remember: CIRCULAR LOGIC rocks!

Throw in some
FREEBIE
that people will fall for!

The unexplainable, used to explain the unexplainable

Wow, this jogged a memory from ye olden days of chat room toxicity spent at the (mostly) defunct Topix chat rooms.

Ran into a group of people who decided, on a lark, to create their own religion called, appropriately enough, "Punishianity". I don't think they ever got any further than creating a website, which I believe is now defunct.

Food for thought and I laughed out loud at several of these. A great way to start the week, Debra.

The cult one is perfection.

haha so enjoyed the post dear Debra i so agree that the God we invent is more like us totally unlike One who has created us and after giving life and each single thing related to it leaves us free to make choices and to face the consequences of them :)
hugs and blessings!

Tells you a lot when people insist that God is a white male bossy feller, no? And when female led movements are sidelined.. Some very funny stuff here

Crazy person. Cult. Religion.
And there you have it!

apparently sky gods were invented when societies became more solid, we needed something to keep people in tow.

Since Sunday is taken, I'm going for "No Calorie Saturday" Gifts from somebody really cool, not sure who since can't see, touch, or hear that one but I'm sure it's written down someplace. Hallelujah!

LOVE the "SuperSize" one!! TFS ~

I feel you are being unnecessarily harsh to the napkin religion. That napkin was inspired by G-d, and if you cannot trust the inspiration of G-d then what can you trust?

That Sunday carbs group? A bunch of splitters! Anything less than Reformed 7 Day Carb Munchers is blasphemy.

And there you have it: religion in a nutshell, LOL! I'll stick with my chocolate-based faith, thanks.

I've read somewhere before that the old testament has the same basic premise as 19 previous religions. I looked and can't find the article. You'll have to have faith that I read it.

the quote by Robert Anton Wilson is one I'd like to toss in a few folks faces...

I wonder why the gods of Greece and Rome fell out of favor. Maybe there were too many to keep track of which one was in charge of what!

I wonder if the problem is no one is afraid of religion anymore. Nah!

The french fries say it all! Great post, Debra! Sad that it's true. I truly despise organized religion. It's all grifters and con men.
Thank for the laughs!

The world was created in 1961 by Barack Obama. Everything before is just what he falsely created and ret conned to avoid suspicion.

The Tea Party was created by the devil Adolf Hitler and he used his living son Donald Trump to be the false messiah.

Ironically to pray to the president god, all you need to do is say Thanks Obama!

I should be the goddess of my own religion, called Junebuggery. At last I've found the road to riches. People will give me millions to show how they worship and love me.

Love,
Janie

@ Janie Junebug -- The name of your religion is gold, PURE GOLD, lol!

These are the best! They are funny...and also true! Thank goodness I came to my senses about organized religion very early in life.

That's a great project! I may have to try one or two. Just for those days when I feel like the world is against me. It is a bitter pill to swallow. Nevertheless, hello!🎻

Amen to that! XD

Ricky Gervais summed it up well! Part of me wants to check out some of the massive Baptist church services around us out of curiosity. But then again it will frustrate me and I don't want to add any stress to my life.

The man threatening the woman makes me so angry. It is exactly what happens time after time and religion encourages it
