International Transgender Day of Visibility

Shit has got real now and it will get much worse
if we make the mistake of throwing
the transgender community to the wolves.

BE AN ALLY!

And to lesbigay people who want to ban
trans people and trans issues from our movement --

SHAME ON YOU!

And to all haters, I say --

Everyone has the right to be and become
who they truly are, no matter when that process begins.

Trans youth are particularly vulnerable to anti-trans hate --

Trans people always have and always will exist
and will live their lives as best they can,
no matter what any law says.

SUPPORT TRANS RIGHTS!

How is this world going backwards!! Who cares what people want to be, they aren’t harming anyone. I agree, shame on lesbians and gays if they don’t accept trans people. I tried to explain to my kids when they were younger when they asked about trans people and my son found it hard to understand. I told him we don’t have to understand, we have to accept them, it’s their life.

Great stuff, Debra! And yes, there have always been trans people, always will, and they have exactly the same human rights as everyone.

Whatever happened to “Live and let live?” Sex and gender in nature is not straightforward and we seem to conveniently that we are part of nature.

I was so happy when my trans and gay friends and relatives were free to be themselves and now I am so sad and fear for those same folks.
I don't understand the haters at all.

How hard is it to just respect people?

I stand with the trans community all day, every day!

I don't understand why people fear transgender people, or gay people for that matter. My theory is that men are terrified of encountering a trans woman with a penis and having their fragile male egos shattered. So much of their ego is tied up in being male, that anything that challenges that is terrifying. At least that's my theory.

Trans people are easy targets for the bigots.
Even though I have never known more self realized people, the bigots seem to believe that Trans people (especially Transgender women) do not know what they’re doing. It’s just hatred.
Trans people do not hurt anybody and I totally agree with Pixie: it’s straight cisgender men who are absolutely terrified of finding out the woman they desperately crave happens to have been assigned male at birth.

XOXO

How could the LGB forget the T???? They're the ones who broke out and fought. It's because of them that the LGB found any rights in the first place.

Everyone should be able to live the way they want without hate from others.

Trans has to be 10 times as hard as being LGB.

Hello Debra, I'll never understand why so many need to bully unprotected groups to prove (to themselves only) their superiority, but there are infinite examples through history.

Yes have read that poem too
Unfortunately people just don’t care. Unless it affects them directly
It’s a very sad state of affairs and so very wrong.

Beautiful post. Yeah, I'm straight, Caucasian, whatever, and I always wonder, what reason will they find to come after me? I'd damn well better be thinking about everyone they attack.

Love,
Janie

With all that we have achieved with LGBTQ+ and then with a swipe of a pen from the worst person on earth we are back where we started.

I don't have to understand trans to accept trans. People are people. Enough said.
The only reason govt wants to control, eradicate, or vilify anyone is to get votes. And nothing gets them votes faster than putting one group of people against another.
Stop voting for hatred
Enough said

So true people who don't hurt anyone don't deserve such negative behaviour!
There is abundance of those who appear very normal but are causing serious damage to society unfortunately
